A/n: Fleur convinces y/n to go to the Yule ball.

Y/n's Pov:

I can't believe I made such an ass out of myself yesterday and today was no better, I avoided the Gryffindor at all cost trying not to face her cause I wouldn't know what to say or even do. I was relieved when I finally finished class and was able to rush back to the common room, but that was short-lived when Luna came in and told me that Fleur wanted to hang out in the great hall, I agreed and changed out of my robes and into a warmer shirt. Luna followed suit and we headed to the great hall, even though I wanted to crawl into a shell and stay there for the rest of the year, I was happy to see Fleur since I haven't seen her since the first task as she had been so busy trying to prepare for the second task so it was nice to see her.

The great hall was nearly empty as the students rested in their common rooms before dinner, Luna and I entered the hall and found Flure sitting at the Ravenclaw table waiting. Luna and I walked quickly to the table and sat in front of her.  Now that I was in front of her I could see her face she looked tired and stressed but she still had a smile on her face.

Y/n:"hey Fleur"

Fl:" Bonjour Y/n and Luna," She said happily(hello)

Lu: "How are you doing?"

Fl: "Em-I've been better but I'm alright"

Y/n:"How's planning for the second task going?"

Fl: "It's been hard but I'm ready"

Lu: "You're going to do amazing" 

Fl: "Merci Luna," Flure said

Fl: "But I'm more enthousiasmé par for the Yule Ball!"(Excited for)

Lu: "Oh yeah! that's coming up soon I can't wait!!" Luna said excitedly

I started off, I completely forgot about the Yule Ball but it didn't matter I wasn't a champion and didn't really have any interest in it so I just stayed quiet.

Lu: "What about you, Y/n?"  I focused back in on the two 

Y/n: "Oh I um, I don't think I'm going to be going," I said they both looked at me shocked 

Lu: "You can't be serious Y/n this isn't something you can miss it happens once in a lifetime"

Fl: "You must come!" Flure insisted

Y/n:" I don't know I'm not much of a party person"

Lu: "It's not just a party it's a ball! with extravagant dresses and food"Luna said with a lofty sigh of admiration.

Fl: "Music and let's not forget"

Lu&Fl: "Dancing!!!" I suppressed a sigh and kept a straight face

Y/n: "Well I can't dance so sorry," I say quickly 

Fl: "Oh come on Y/n"

Lu:" Don't be a party pooper" Luna says playfully, I shrugged.

Fl:" Why don't you just come with me," Flure said

Y/n:" what?"

Fl:" Come with me it will be fun!"

Lu:" Aren't you going with that one boy from Hufflepuff?"

Fl:" he's my waltz partner, he won't mind it will be fun"

Y/n:" I don't know Flure, I still can't dance"

Fl:" I'll teach you," Flure said easily and stood from her seat.

Fl:" take my hand" she held her hand out to me.

Y/n:" right here in the middle of the great hall?"

Fl:" Prends-le!!" (Take it!) I sighed and took Flure's hand, I walked around the table and faced her, she locked our fingers together and began to instruct me.

Fl:" Now place your hand on my waist" I swallowed nervously and placed my hand on her slim waist, she raised my arm and placed her other hand on my shoulder

Lu:" now step 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 you're doing it y/n," Luna said excitedly as I carefully watched my step as Flure and I danced. She basically floated along the floor her moves were graceful while I looked like a rubber man trying not to step on her feet, we continued to dance after a couple more tries I stopped looking at my feet and started to enjoy it.

Y/n:" This is fun," I said with a smile Flure laughs and we stopped dancing, as the two blondes laughed.

Lu:" see, we told you," Luna said with a smile.

Fl:" so will you go with me," Fleur asked as she sat back down on the bench, I follow and sit back in front of her, as the Weasley twins enter the great hall.

Y/n:" Okay I'll go with you but I'm not matching you" we all laughed and continue to talk till dinner started.

I guess I'm going to the Yule ball with my friend Fleur. I wonder if Hermione is going, who would she go with?
