Despite the sad moment. . .

The family that came. . .

Never shedded a tear. . .

-=-=-=-

Rain.

It's always there for comfort, the more you think about it.

When you are mad.

When you need a good cry.

Or when your dear friend is screaming over your gravestone.

💔💔💔

He was a good kid.

Always listened to his mother, learned his manners.

Heck, he even ate his vegetables.

He was a good kid.

And deserved far more than what life gave him.

Izuku Midoriya.

A Quirkless teenager with a big heart of gold.

The only one who cried at your funeral.

In the sea of your entire family.

To them, you were just another child.

A simple problem that money could fix.

Bet they don't even know why they're there.

Izuku thought differently.

Far differently.

To him, you were a shining light of sarcasm and rough kindness.

Even if you seemed rude, he knew you loved him dearly.

If only he had moved quick enough. . .

Your hand was so close to his.

If only he had reached out. . .

But now, the only way he could see your mischievous smile was in Polaroids taken in late night study sessions.

The only way he could feel the warmth from your hugs was in the stuffed animal you bought for him when you two were little.

The only way he could hear your snarky, teasing tone was through voicemails.

The thoughts of this new change were ripping him apart.

Izuku grabbed at his thick green hair, forehead pressed against the muddy ground before your grave.

"(Y/n)! I'M SO SORRY!!" He sobbed uncontrollably, the mid from his forehead began trailing down his face, dirtying his skin.

Even when everyone had left, going off to parties as if they didn't just go to a funeral. . .

Izuku Midoriya stayed.

His sobs ended, surprisingly, and he simply began to talk with your gravestone.

It strangely calmed him down, even though it really shouldn't.

He could imagine your sarcastic replies to his questions.

"(Y/n), why did you die?"

'Wow I'm dead? I totally didn't know that!'

"Do you still hate me?"

'Eh, I dunno. If you give me some candy, I might know.'

And after some laughs and a couple of tears, Izuku would finally leave.

Hours after your own family left.

And despite the anger you held for your own flesh and blood. . .

Izuku Midoriya always made you smile in the end.
