Cursed Sand

Calm water
reflecting the moon and stars above..
Teenagers trespassing
do not notice abandoned cars..
They race into the lake
playful laughter fills the night..
One teen notices ripples in the water
while heading towards shore..
An inhuman body slowly rises
teeth dripping in anticipation because he knows what's coming next..
Screams of panic
as the friends rush for the shore..
But there is no escape
from this unnamed horror..
The few pulled under water
die instantly without a splash..
While those that made it to the sand learn it was a trap..
Feet sink deep
panic and confusion turn into screams..
Something digs into their bodies
slowly consuming them from inside..
Watching one another in confusion
as blood slowly pours from mouth and eyes..
Then right before Death takes them
they are pulled under ground..
The Demon waves a hand
the beach is pristine once again..
An abandoned car
yet another tomb stone for entitlement..
