"Well, that looked cozy." Someone said, following it with a cough. I turned and saw Anita behind me.

"Not really. I was his dead cousin's friend after all." She winced at the sound of dead but I ignored it.

"I just haven't seen you being friendly with people. You've been more reserved and you hardly smiled. You even snubbed me multiple times on the hallway." She said, pouting. She was really pushing her luck and I was getting annoyed.

"I just needed some time alone. I know you can understand that." She nodded and sat down beside me.

"I'll really like to be your friend though, or your roommate. Which ever one, it'll be an honor." She said, smiling at me.

"Yeah, sure. You can talk to the matron and Angela." Ever heard of keep your friends close but your enemies closer? That's what I was planning on doing.

"Who's Angela?" She asked, confused and I quickly turned to look at her.

"You don't know Angela? Well I'm not surprised. She's my roomie. Short, long hair, long eyelashes, oval face." She kept shaking her head as I mentioned things she can use to know who I'm talking about.

"Nope I don't. It's not my fault though. She must be really invisible for me not to notice." She said and I nodded.

I opened my tab and began to read a book. I noticed she was still beside me but I really needed her to leave me alone.

"Have you seen the twins though?" She asked.

Her statement made me to remember a few weeks ago.

Flashback.

I was just finishing up with my unpacking. I had to make my bed, arrange my locker and provisions, put my money in a safe place. I brought out my night wear and arranged my uniform neatly in my wardrobe.

I put my tab and other necessities in my bedside cupboard, I arranged my toiletries in one corner of my wardrobe and put my box at the bottom of the wardrobe.

When I was done, I took my night wear and toiletries to the bathroom, to have my bath and sleep in preparation for the next day. After bathing, I dressed up and tucked myself into bed.

I was almost asleep when Anita opened the door and came straight to my bed.

"Can I help you?" I asked, sitting up.

"Have you seen the twins Kay Kay? I need to speak with her about something very important." I looked at her and knew something was wrong.

Kay Kay and Anita had gotten pretty close over the summer and it was really weird. She spent nearly everyday posting things about Anita.

"She should be with the twins. I don't share their common room with them, just text her so she can meet you." I said, yawning.

"Sure, thanks." She walked out, quickly.

I was about to go back to sleep when something told me to go to Kay's room.

I put on my slippers and ran there, while trying to avoid hitting other students. Alot of people were on the stairway, hall way,on the lawn and hanging around other people's dorms. I knocked on the door, Ziora opened the door.

"This one you're breathing like this, what happened?" She asked as I entered. I looked round the room and saw Kay Kay wasn't there.

"Where's Kay?" I asked, sitting on the bed.

"Oh, she just left. She'll be back soon."

"Zara! Zara!" Anita said, snapping her fingers in my face.

"Yes? What's wrong?" I snapped at her.

"I asked where the twins were and you just zoned out. That was a weird thing to do." She said and I scoffed.

"The twins are your friends, you should know where to find them. Can I read now? You're really disturbing me." I didn't mean to be rude but she had already over stayed her welcome.

A look flashed on her face and she gave me a sickly sweet smile and stood up from the chair.

"Sure. I'll see you around." She air kissed me and left. I scoffed and continued what I was doing.

The activities ended an hour later and we were required to be at the dining hall for dinner. Each floor had theirs. It was quite comfortable and cozy. I went to mine and took a sit, I knew Angela was going to sit on the same table with me. She always did that but I wasn't bothered.

She came a few minutes later and sat down. "Hey." She said with her extremely tiny voice.

"Hey." I said, loosing interest immediately in any conversation she wanted to start.

The food was shared round, pounded yam and egusi soup. Angela stood up to get a cup from the counter and I asked for one too. After eating, we walked together silently to our room. We had never spoken three words to each other since we became roommates. I always avoided conversations with people because they always said I was rude or too blunt.

I walked straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After brushing, I took my toiletries and pajamas to the bathroom to have my bath. After bathing, I went to my bed and pretended to be asleep.

When Angela was done with her hygiene, she put off the light and went to bed. I waited for the lights everywhere to be out before moving. After about twenty minutes, everywhere was clear and the matron's had gone to every room to see if everyone was asleep, I picked a small torchlight from my bedside cupboard, made my bed to look like I was asleep and walked towards the door, slowly.

I opened the door as slow as possible and closed it while trying to be quiet. I rushed down the corridor and down the stairs, I tiptoed past the matron's room, to avoid any trouble. I soon reached our spot and opened the door.

To my surprise, the girls were already there. I was shocked to see them all sitted with sad eyes.

"We have a problem." Ziora spoke up.

"What happened? Why are y'all suddenly down?" I said, moving towards Derin.

"Like I said before, the hacker is on this block but I can't even access the layout of the app anymore. I'm completely blocked, I've tried everything but nothing is working. What are we going to do." She was nearly crying and I knew we had to do something fast.

"So you can't access the layout to your own app, we don't know who's doing this and we can't even hack into the person's laptop. Then we do what they want and let's be fast about it."

"How does that help us here. Where are we going to start from?" Ziora asked.

"Good. We make a list of people that kay had issues with, deep issues though. We try to follow them around one after the other and try to get an answer from them. We better start soon because we don't know how long this person is giving us. But we also try to beat them at this game. Derin, you have to try to get into your app again and see if you can be successful." Zikora nodded and I knew she agreed with me.

Ziora looked like she was biting the inside of her cheeks, she stood up and went to the reading table. She brought out a pen and paper and began to write people she knew had issues with Kay Kay. We all stood around her as she wrote ten names down.

"These are the ones I'm sure of. If I remember anyone, I'll tell you guys." She said.

Just then, we heard the footsteps of someone leaving the door. We left the room and ran into the corridor. We couldn't see anyone there so we turned back to leave.

"Wait guys. Look." Zikora pointed at the wall.

You have just three weeks to bring me her killer or everyone will know your secrets. Tick tock! Time is ticking bitches.

Ziora gasped beside me and I suddenly felt chills, this suddenly felt like a movie to me. We were really doomed.
