Flashback

"Am I a joke to you? You had no right to tell anyone what I told you. It was a secret and you broke my trust." Gift told Kay Kay outside our spot.

We were all inside the room while both of them dished it out between themselves.

"You're making it sound like a big deal, it's not that deep now. They won't tell anyone, I trust them." Kay Kay said, reaching for Gift.

"You may trust them, but I don't. I don't even trust you anymore, you're just something else." She said, glaring at Kay Kay after reamoving her hand from Kay's grip.

"Oh please. You're acting like I've been telling them every single thing you tell me. It was just a harmless secret session and I felt telling yours won't hurt." Kay Kay shrugged.

"Won't hurt? Can you hear yourself? You sound so dumb! Why didn't you tell them a secret concerning you? Why did it have to be mine, huh? You're just so unbelievable." Gift said and stormed out.

I sat down quietly during prep thinking about how to get Angela's tab. It wasn't going to be easy, but it was possible. I opened my tab and began to read what we've been studying, I didn't want to slack this term because of some psycho that decided to threaten my friends and I.

I was reading when someone sat down in front of me, I knew it wasn't Angela because I knew the scent of her cologne. I looked up and saw Anita smiling at me, she looked spooky.

"So you're still the serious Zara, I really admire you though." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"Not everyone wants to become a model you know? Some people don't like attention." I continued reading from my tab, so I couldn't see her facial expressions.

"Yeah yeah. You've always felt like you're better than I am, in fact, you feel like you're better than anyone else apart from you. Isn't that the reason why you refused to accept William last year? What suddenly changed? Do you know what you are? You're a fucking hypocrite, I can see the hypocrisy beneath this innocent girl facade you have going on. I always tried to be your friend but you never even pretended to like me. That's sad. Why do you feel everyone at school keeps their distance?" She hissed and walked away.

I was thinking about what Anita just said. Was that how people view me at school? Was I the girl who pretended a lot? I'm sure they were really surprised when they saw William and I.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw a message on my tab from the app, my heart was beating as I opened it.

Things were really steamy there. Remember time is ticking! Tick tock!

I looked away from my phone and try to look for the person who sent the text. Everyone seemed to be busy talking, reading or chatting with their friends. I quickly closed the app and reopened my text books but I couldn't get the thought away from my head.

So Angela was right, someone was watching my every move or rather, people were watching us but for how long?

The bell for the end of prep soon rang and I took my things and went to my room. It was going to be operation Gift soon, but first, Derin wanted all of us to meet at our spot, including Zikora. We all arrived almost the same time and rushed in.

"So did anyone else receive a message?" I asked them and they all shook their heads. "So I was the only one then." I mumbled.

I brought out my tab and showed the girl the text I was sent.

"What was steamy?" Ziora asked, looking confused. Well, I would be confused too.

"Anita came to meet me during prep and said a lot of things. Immediately she left, I received the text. I tried to trace who ever sent it but no one looked suspicious. Everyone looked really busy." I explained with my hands still shaking. I sat down on the bed, placing my tab on the study table.

"So we really have to be quick. Okay, Zikora you know what you have to do right? Make her believe you just want to engage in a simple conversation, don't force it. We all know how Gift is." She nodded and put the bug in her bra.

Derin immediately activated it and gave Zikora a go ahead. She left the room carefully to avoid raising suspicions.

"Can you guys hear me?" Zikora asked from the bug she was wearing.

"Yes we can. Can you see Gift?" Ziora asked her sister.

"Nope. I'm still looking for her, where did that her friend tell you she was going to be again?" Ziora face palmed herself.

"Go to the art studio, you'll surely see her there. She loves making people miserable with her voice." Derin snorted and I tried to hold my laughter.

Zikora was quiet for a while and I knew she decided to ignore her sister's remarks. They were identical twins but different on so many levels. Ziora was the outgoing and fun loving one, Zikora was quiet and very reserved. She hated talking in public while Ziora took delight in annoying people with her voice.

We all kept quiet so we won't distract her. We heard some shuffling and a door open, so I assumed she had already entered the art studio.

"Hey Gift." Zikora suddenly said. "Can I talk to you?" She nearly whispered the last part.

"Yeah, sure. What's up?" I heard Gift say.

"Nothing much. I've not really been seeing you around lately. How did your summer holiday go?" Zikora said and Derin smiled. We all knew this was going to be a hard one.

"Well it was good. Wait, this one you're suddenly asking me questions, are you now part of the school's press club?" I could only imagine Gift's face as she asked that question.

"No now but I think I might join, I'm trying to overcome my fears of talking to people. So I said let me start with you." Zikora said.

"Nice thinking." Derin mumbled.

"Oh well, I went to Switzerland as you know and it was fun but weird being in a strange country. That was my first time though."

"Wow, I would like to go there one day. So when did you come back from Switzerland?" Okay it's official, Zikora was really smart. Heaven knows I would have asked Gift straight up, where she was that very day.

"I came back two days before school resumed." Gift said and we all looked at ourselves. There was absolutely no way Gift would have been in school that very day.

"Oh? So when did you now resume?" My heart was already beating and I felt we just wasted Zikora's time. It was obvious we were interviewing a wrong person.

"I resumed two weeks after. I wanted to resume that same week but everyone was told to go back home after the incident, so I resumed the day we were allowed to come back." I threw myself on the bed. I was already frustrated.

I would have just asked one of Gift's friends when Gift came back from her summer holiday. It was just so annoying.

"Oh wow. Okay I'll see you later. I've to go look for my sister, it was nice talking to you." Gift hummed and I heard shuffling again, knowing Zikora was on her way to the spot.

"Did you guys get that? She wasn't even in school that day." She was breathing heavily and I knew she was probably walking fast to get to where we were quickly.

"Yes we did." Derin replied and logged out from the bug. About two minutes later, Zikora came into the room, panting.

"I just wasted my hard earned voice." Zikora hissed.

"Yen yen yen. At least you tried, none of us would have been able to pull that off." Ziora said, higging her sister. I smiled at the sight and noticed Derin's attention was on her laptop.

"What's wrong?" I asked her. She looked up from her laptop and looked at us.

"Someone was also listening to their conversation." She said.
