"This fucking itches, Steve. Can I take it off?" Tony complained, pulling on the collar of the sweater he was forced to put on. The sweater was....Well, it was awful to say the least.
The sweater's main color was green, of course, with red stripes- Almost like an elf. It had attached lights that created a tree on the front and not to mention the huge bulky ornaments that hung down off the sweater. Each of those had their own color; red, gold, silver, green, you name it. For the star, it was pure glitter. Getting this on Tony was the hardest thing anyone could accomplish.
The itchiness level was insane. Maybe it was because Tony wasn't wearing an under shirt. All he knew is that he hated every. Single. Moment.
"And really ugly. It's honestly revolting-" He looked to Steve, who just slid his on. It was matching, of course- Still had to have some class, after all. "That's the point, Tony." Steve chuckled. "You look adorable. Just one night, one party. Then you can take it off, burn it, do whatever after we get home. Okay?"
Tony rolled his eyes before muttering. "Fine. But you can bet your ass I'll be burning it." With that, he headed out the door with Steve on his heels.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank GOD we're home!" Tony celebrated as he stretched. As the time passed, Tony started to get used to the disgusting sweater. He didn't seem to notice or acknowledge it through the night, not even tugging on it during the party. Overall, the sweater grew on him- but, he had to admit, it got annoying whenever he tried to hug or even kiss Steve.
Steve smiled lightly, closing the door behind him. "See? I told you it wouldn't be as bad as you thought. Who's the smart one now?" Tony paused, side glancing at Steve. "Don't get too full of yourself. Just because you've proven me wrong doesn't mean anything."
Steve simply rolled his eyes playfully as he pulled the sweater off. "I see you've grown into your sweater," He acknowledged. "I'd say I've proven you wrong twice. In one night, too. That's bonus points right there." Tony looked down as he quickly snatched the sweater off, discarding it to the floor. "Not true!" He huffed.
"For you information, I plan on throwing it away." He stated. "I just....Got distracted by your talking is all." He stuck his nose in the air as he grabbed a spare t-shirt, throwing it on.
"Whatever you say, shortstack." Steve teased ((not teasted™)) before doing the same. Tony groaned as he felt relief- His skin was slightly irritated from the sweater, and it showed. There were light red splotches down his back from the fabric rubbing against his skin.
"Okay, maybe it did grow on me." Tony finally admitted. "But those things? They're like the devil spawn. Pure evil. I mean, did you see my back?" He looked at Steve.
The blonde simply handed his sweater to Tony. "Burn them then."
"No-"
