JJ'S pov
He was sat in the hospital, he was so quiet, I just wanted to sit and hug him forever. I moved the chair up to him and held his hand, his face had no expression at all.
"Spence, in time you will have to testify against her" I said
He didn't move, he lowered his head. But he tightened his hand around mine. We were both in silence for easily 5 minutes. He looked me in the eyes and he was crying.
"Hey, hey Spence, please just talk to me, I don't care what about or how much detail you go into, please just talk to me, I am always listening," I said
"I missed you JJ," he said
"i missed you too Spence, his about you tell me about working at Interpol," I asked
"The people were nice, well for the first month or so" he said quietly
"what do you mean by that" I asked still holding onto his hand
"Well they were all nice then when they realised how smart I am they would just be weird around me and would start making fun of me" he said with even more tears flowing out of his eyes.
"Why didn't you say something spencer" Emily said
"Because I caused you enough trouble already" he said
"no, no you didn't you were a great help at Interpol" she said passing me a duffle bag with a couple if different outfits in
"thank you" he said quietly. He looked in the bag and pulled out an outfit and walked into the bathroom.
Emily walked up to me
"I feel so bad, how, why didn't I know" she said
"we all have our secrets." I said
My phone pinged
AH: how is he doing?
JJ: Not too great, he just wants to go home
LA (Luke alvez): she confessed to the murders.
EP: ?
AH: this is spencers replacement Luke Alvez.
EP: so you are saying she confessed to everything
DM: it took a bit of work but yeah.
JJ: we are going to talk to the doctor,
AH: keep us updated
Jj: will do.
When I put my phone away Spence was sitting back down on the side of the bed.
"Henry misses you everyday" I said
"when we get back to America can I see him" he asked very quietly
"you don't need to ask" I said
He remained silent, a doctor walked in
"so Mr. Reid, I understand that you want to travel back to the united states is that correct" the doctor said
He just nodded
"so, there is one condition about traveling back to the states is that you do get some kind of counseling or therapy, you might not want it but Mr. Reid I recommend it.
He just nodded again
"i will get you ready to leave the hospital" the doctor said
"thanks" spence said in a really quiet voice
"I'm scared Jj, I'm so scared," he said with his eyes pooling with tears
"she has confessed Spence, she is going away for a long, long time," I said
"what about if I get r..eally bad PTSD and I can't even be near you or..or," he said working himself up.
"hey, hey, if you get PTSD we will all help you okay and if you do get scared of me I will understand okay, and there will be penty of people for you to talk to okay" I said
"who can I talk to, I hate Derek, It will be so awkward between Hotch and Rossi" he said
"well there is this new person on the team he is about your age, you would make great friends" I said
"im sorry Jj" he said
"you have nothing to be sorry about" I said
1 day later
Jjs pov
We get most of spencers things into cases and we get ready to head back to America.
We all sit on the private jet, it felt awkward, Emily was going to fly out a couple of days later because she had something to deal with.
On the plane there was me and spencer sat in one of the corner tables with 2 chairs. Hotch, Rossi, Morgan, and Garcia was sat on the table of 4 and luke was sat on the table near us. Spencer kept twiddling his thumbs then out of nowhere he spoke up.
"Jj I have been fighting this battle too long now, it has been winning for far too long and I think I'm ready to take my first steps towards recovery," I said putting on a small smile at the end.
"that's great Spence, one thing though, please can I check your arms," I said "now"
He nodded and rolled up his sleeves and took a deep breath, the majority of cuts were mid-healing
"do you know how you want to take this first step," I asked
"I'm going to do what the doctor said and I am going to try and maintain my life and not let a stupid disease of the brain win, I'm going to win this one," he said getting a bit passionate
"Remeber Spencer I'm always here for you and I'm sure nearly everyone else is always there for you, honestly spencer your life is one tragedy after another but only because you let it, so as soon as you get better you will see life as better," I said
"thank you JJ," he said standing up and hugging me.
"did you, Dr. Spencer Reid just hug me," I said smiling.
I stood up and hugged him back
"i did," he said.
"Hey guys, thank you," he said
" it's nice to see you, Reid" Luke said standing up putting his hand out for a handshake
"Luke, Luke Alvez" he asked shaking his hand
"Yeah that's me" Luke said
