Yet she loved you
You didn't care for her
Yet you're all she cared about
She cared for you,
Endlessly
You caused her so much pain
So many tears in your name
And yet
Only you could draw her so near
Only you could hurt her and get away with it
Only you, she handed her heart to
You always won the battles over her heart
You didn't love her
She gave you so much power
You used it to destroy her
Her eyes spoke of the love she had for you
Deeply embedded in sadness
She always chose you over all else
Hoping that one day,
You too, would choose her
That this time around, you'll love her
That you might really care for her
That you'll unravel her mind and step into her soul
Not with your ego nor pride
That you might understand
You didn't love her
But now she knows
You never will
