Chapter nine

"COMET YOU CAN SLOW DOWN" Kate yelled "I'M NEW AT THIS" she added. Teddy looked at them amazed, while Santa laughed evilly and the cops looked at the reindeer shocked "YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST" Kate continued, trying to hold onto Comet "Alright, Kate. Slow down. SLOW DOWN, KATE!" Yelled Santa, trying to stop her, but Dave pulled him back "Whoa, slow your roll. Get back here,Santa." "All right, All right" Santa sighed. "COMET! STOP" Kate yelled "HELP MEEE" she continued and Santa whispered to Teddy "Teddy. here,take this." He revealed a small globe that looked like a Christmas tree ornament which was beeping "Find my sack of toys. It'll lead you to the elves. Go!" He gave it to Teddy and Teddy started running towards the reindeer "TEDDY!!" Yelled Kate "KATE" he yelled back and followed the reindeer "Hey, MIKEY! Get the kid! I'm putting this guy in the car!" Yelled Dave, and Mikey followed behind Teddy who caught up to a reindeer "Teddy! I can't stay on! Help!" Kate yelled while Teddy struggled getting on one of the reindeer, and succeeded "Attaboy, Teddy!" Yelled Santa behind him, while Dave pulled him back "Hey!" "COME BACK HERE" yelled Mikey to Teddy "Find the elves! They'll know what to do!" Yelled Santa after "Teddy!" Yelled Kate and Teddy caught up to her, trying to get her. Kate screamed, almost falling, but Teddy caught her and pulled her back on Comet. They smiled at each other "WOOHOOOOO" yelled Devyn from behind and Sasha fell asleep on the reindeer "SASHA WAKE THE FUCK UP" Devyn yelled and Sasha jumped, almost falling but Devyn helped her in time. They looked forward and saw police cars in front of them "Uh-oh" said Kate, scared. Santa looked at Dave and pulled away from him "They need to get up" he said and Dave tried pulling him back "come on!" But Santa pulled away again "They need to fly!" And he ran towards them "HEY!" Yelled Dave "ATTACH THE JINGLE BELLS!" Santa yelled "Get back here! " Yelled Dave, almost catching-up  to him. Teddy and Kate turned around "what?!" They both asked, not hearing what Santa said. "ATTACH THE FUCKING JINGLE BELLS KATE" Devyn said, hearing clearly what Santa said. Santa chuckled but Dave knocked him down. Kate was confused but then realized what he meant and attached the smal jingle bells to the reindeer, and they started lighting with a green light. Santa looked at them while Dave was cuffing him up "up...up!" He whisper yelled "STOPP!" Mikey yelled running after them "come on, Comet! Fly for me! You can do it!" Kate yelled "FLY FLY FLY!" She yelled louder and the reindeer started flying "HOLY SHIT" yelled Devyn and Sasha yelled after her "HOLY FUCK"
Mikey was shocked at what he was seeing "GUYS! TURN AROUND! GUYS" the cops looked confused at Mikey "JUST TURN AROUND" he yelled but it was too late when they did, the reindeer were nowhere to be seen. "What am I looking at?" One cop questioned and Mikey grabbed his hat and gripped on it "DAMN IT" he yelled. Dave managed to get Santa up and they looked at the direction where the reindeer where, Dave was confused but Santa smirked "sorry you missed it, Dave" Dave took a glance at the road again and pulled him in the police car.

"WOOOOAHHHHH" yelled Kate and Devyn at the same time "I can't believe it!! We're flying!" Kate looked at everyone else "no shit, Sherlock" said Devyn and Sasha glared at her "This is NOT how you treat a kid, Devyn" she said and Teddy agreed "I know" he replied to his sister "I'm on Donner, what about you guys?" He asked and Kate replied first "Comet! How cool is this" she said amazed and Devyn looked at the sign on the reindeer she was in "Dasher" she plainly said "Dancer" said Sasha. Teddy smiled, but he heard beeping and looked at the globe and smirked "the bag of toys!" Yelled Kate "that must be close" said Teddy "where do you think it is?" Asked Kate and Teddy looked around " Must be around here somewhere" they all looked around "let's land, it will be easier to find from the ground" he continued "okay" the girls said in unison and the reindeer started landing. When they got down, Teddy tied the reindeer to a tree and looked at the little beeping device, and started walking. Kate was giving Comet a candy cane "take some" and Teddy lightly slapped her shoulder "come on girls" the girls all turned their attention to him, before following "Hang tight! And blend in" Kate said "Come on! Let's goo" Teddy and Devyn said in unison before looking at each other and blushing. They walked and arrived to a church, people singing "O Christmas Tree" were heard from inside "we're really close" said Teddy, now almost in front of the Church. "You think it's inside the church?" Asked Kate, and Teddy looked at it "no..it's gotta be around here somewhere" he then looked around "yeah.." Kate muttered, and they stopped right in front of the church, everyone else doing the same. Kate was next to him, and they just looked at the church. Devyn frowned and looked at Sasha who looked back at her with the same expression, and then they looked at the two siblings. "This was his Favourite song" said Teddy, and Sasha and Devyn we're now confused "he sang it every Christmas Eve" Kate said and sniffled once "You know I haven't been to church since he.." he stopped and sighed "I know..me neither" Kate replied. Teddy went closer to the church and looked at his pocket knife "A Pierce always sees it through" he read it and was on the verge of crying. Devyn frowned and felt bad for him and Kate put a hand on his arm trying to turn him around "what's wrong" she asked but Teddy snapped "Nothing, God! Would it kill you to leave me alone for one minute?"He asked annoyed when suddenly his pocket knife fell and he stopped. Kate went to get it and Devyn went next to him "Come on she was trying to hel-" "you shut up because you know nothing about us or what happened" Teddy turned to Devyn "Chill out!" She held up her hands in defense. They got silent and Kate gave him his pocket knife back, Teddy took it and sat down on the stairs, looking at his pocket knife. "He would be so disappointed in me" he said, his voice cracking "nooo" Devyn was getting soft, feeling bad for him and she sat next to him, getting closer to him "I know mom sure is" he continued and Kate spoke up "that's because she knows deep down, you're not such a total screw up" Teddy chuckled "thanks..uh...you make me feel great" he said sarcastically "And it's because she loves you..you have her with you at least and you can save that...my parents aren't even with me...they promised they'll come, but they couldn't" Devyn said and looked at the ground, a tear rolling on her cheek. Teddy looked at her and frowned muttering an "I'm sorry..." and he wrapped an arm around her. Devyn looked up at him and wrapped her both arms around him, in a hug. They hugged and Kate smiled at them "And sorry for saying that, Teddy" she sat next to them "No..I deserve it" Said Teddy while pulling away from Devyn, and Devyn put her head on his shoulder. "I know I've been an awful brother, it's just.... I've been so mad at him. I mean..he spent years helping other people, but where is he now? When I need him?" There was  moment of silence and Devyn sat straight, looking at him, frowning "Why did he have to go into that stupid fire?" He continued, his voice shaky "He had a wife...and two kids and he gave it all up...just to save some random strangers..." he stopped and a tear rolled on his cheek, while Sasha sat down on the other side of him  "And now I'd give anything just to tell him..." he stopped and Kate looked confused "tell him what?" She questioned but Teddy didn't answer, as another tear fell on his cheek, and he and Devyn didn't even realize they were holding hands. "Teddy, you aren't such an awful brother...Dad wouldn't be disappointed in you...you know how I know?" Said Kate and Teddy sighed "how" he asked without any interest "because I see him all the time...in you" Kate said, and that shocked Teddy, but he turned to her "You're just saying that because you wanna save Christmas" he stated a fact, which made Devyn giggle a little "true but..." Kate said and sat up "I also believe it...you just gotta believe it too" she continued and Teddy looked at her with a smile, more tears streaming on his face "Thanks, Kate.." Kate smiled and opened her arms "should we hug it out?" Teddy chuckled and when he tried to sit up he noticed Devyn and him were holding hands. He looked down at their hands, blushed, looked at Devyn and smiled a little before pulling his hand and wiping his tears off, bending to Kate "In your dreams" he messed up Kate's hat, and stood straight, Devyn and Sasha next to him.
