Franco Columbu was born in Italy and won two Mr Olympia title's.Franco was very strong because he first started out as a boxer,power lifter and then came bodybuilding.He won his first Mr Olympia
in 1976 and his second in 1981 even though he was very short only 5 ft 4 in.He competed under 200 pounds and proved the people wrong.You may think why does it make a difference if a bodybuilder is shorter?The difference is a taller competitor will stand out more on stage.He could deadlift 700 pounds in other words 320 kg.He preformed many acts such as lifting cars and blow up a hot water bottle which can be seen in Pumping Iron.His best bench press was 238 kg,which I'm 70kg he technically bench pressed more than three times my own weight!He earned the nickname "The Sardinian Strongman ".He also wrote his own book "The Bodybuilder's Nutrition Book" and he now works as a chiropractor.
