Dorian Yates has won a total of six Mr Olympia's.Even though he was'nt apart of the golden era,im going to talk about him anyway because he changed bodybuilding.
He reached a very high level of mass which was different to other compititer's at the time (90s).He used a different type of training method which consisted of shorter workouts but higher intensity.He was 5 ft 10 in and still reached 260 pounds or slightly more on stage which is an equivalent to 119 kg.This is more than Arnold Schwarzenegger even though he was 6 ft 2 in.This showed that judges were succeeding bigger bodybuilders.Quantity was becoming more important which was taking away the ideal beauty from the sport.He earned the name "The Shadow".This is because of his private characteristic's.Another reason I think that he won was because the fan's loved the crazy freakiness that he showed on stage,it was never seen before and thats why he won the Mr Olympia after Lee Haney and beating Kevin Levrone in 1992.This revolutionised the sport.
