A new beginning

"I'll be fine mum!" Louis sighed and gave his mum another hug.

"How many times do I have to remind you that you are an unmated Omega Boo? The world isn't a safe place!" Jay answered with a worried frown.

Louis rolled his eyes in response.
"I know that mum! It doesn't mean I'm gonna hide here for the rest of me life. I'm 21 years old! I can take care of myself!"

Louis packed the last of his things in a bag in silence. His mum was watching him. Louis took a last look around his old room before he turned around to face his mum once again.
"I found a great place to live. Hopefully, me roommates are nice and I'm very excited about me new job. You know I always wanted to work in the music industry. This is just as a receptionist but it's at a record label." Louis smiled.

"But why do you have to move to London?" Jay questioned.

"Because there aren't any record labels in Donnie mum." Louis smiled again.

Honestly, his mum could be a little overprotective but he loved her to death. He grabbed the last bag and headed out to his car. His mum followed him behind, and he gave her one last hug and promised to call as soon as he arrived in London. He had already said goodbye to all of his siblings. He would miss them so much but he was also very excited to finally be on his own. His mum hugged him hard and cried a little before she let go and Louis climbed into his car and waved goodbye.

He backed out from the driveway and took one last look at his childhood home before he drove off. He sang along to the radio and he felt free. Going through high school as a male Omega had been horrible. Thank God for his best mate Stan. The Beta had kept him safe.

He was nervous to move into a house with strangers but the owner, Liam, had sounded like a really nice guy on the phone. He had assured him that Louis being an Omega wasn't a problem at all. He had told him that he was an Alpha himself and the two other guys living there were both Betas. Louis had forgotten their names.
Apparently, another guy was moving in as well so they would be five guys living together. Louis knew that it was a really bad idea to move in with Liam, considering he was an Alpha, but there weren't any better options. London was expensive. He would never be able to find an apartment by himself based on the salary he would get and Liam's house was in the right price range.

Liam worked at the same record label so that was a good thing, he hoped. He had to stop judging Alphas for simply being Alphas. He was an adult now and so was this Liam guy. He wouldn't abuse his Alpha powers just because Louis was an Omega. He probably wasn't gay anyway. He really had to learn how to trust people again. He figured this would be a good start.

The drive to London went by fast and soon he was searching for the right house. When he finally found it he parked in the driveway and waited a couple of minutes in the car in an effort to calm down his nerves before he finally stepped out and went up to the front door to ring the bell.

The door swung open and a raven-haired (gorgeous, fucking hell!) man stared at him.
"Uhm, hi. Are you Liam?" Louis asked nervously.

"Naah, I'm Zayn! Are you Louis or Harry?" the man answered with a grin and extended his hand for Louis to shake.

"Louis, I'm Louis. Yep, that's me." Louis mumbled and blushed. Great.

"Guys! Louis's here!" Zayn shouted over his shoulder and got out of the doorway to let Louis inside.

Louis took a hesitating step inside and two other boys came running to the hallway. Louis immediately noticed who the Alpha was from his scent.
"Louis! Welcome!" Liam smiled and shook his hand.

The last boy stepped up with a grin.
"And I'm Niall. Nice to meet you!"

Louis shook his hand as well.

"Let's show you the house!" Liam stated and motioned for him to follow.

Liam showed him the common areas first. The house had a big kitchen, not that Louis cared, he couldn't cook. The living room was also big and cozy. A huge flat screen covered one of the walls and the couch seemed comfortable. There was also a pool table in the room. The basement held a gym, laundry room, and a relaxing area with a jacuzzi. There were three bathrooms. Niall and Zayn shared one and Liam had one for himself.
"You'll share this one with Harry. It's connected to both your rooms. Hope that's okay?" Liam asked and Louis nodded his head.

He got a look at his own bedroom and he liked it right away. The walls were painted in a creamy beige and the bed seemed nice.
"It's great Liam. Ehm, what...when I go into heat..." Louis mumbled and blushed.

Liam smiled at him.
"Don't worry. First of all, I'm on suppressants. Second of all, there's a special room outside in the garage that's built for these kinds of things. You can lock yourself inside and you"ll be completely safe. Niall and Zayn will bring you food and stuff."

Louis let out a breath of relief.
"That's awesome!"

"Do you usually spend your heat with someone or..?" Liam asked.

Louis blushed an even deeper red.
"No, always alone."

"Just needed to know if I would have a horny Alpha around as well." Liam winked.

"Nope, just me, a horny Omega." Louis joked and immediately clasped a hand over his mouth. His eyes grew wide.

Liam laughed and put a hand on his shoulder.
"I like you already Louis. We're gonna be great friends. Come on! Let's get your stuff from the car so you can move in properly."

Louis shot the Alpha a toothy grin and followed him outside. He would like it here.
