So I was talking to a friend and we got an idea for an AU. We decided to create a Steampunk AU.
The demon slayers are secret rebellion group and the demons are the corrupted guards and tyrants that rule the city.
Hisao would still be a Crow Master, training crows on the rooftop of his clock store.
The demons would randomly condemn people and arrest them to be eaten.
Tanjiro worked as a chimney sweeper before joining the rebellion. Zenitsu was sold off by his own parents for money and Inosuke lived in the slums in the outskirts of the city, raised by an old pig farmer that found him in the gutter with some other slaughtered pigs.
