Leah's POV:

I've been at Arsenal for as long as I can remember. My love for this club is indescribable, cause that's how much I love it. Arsenal has always been close to my heart and this club just means a lot to me.

Right now I'm playing for their Academy team, and I couldn't be prouder to finally get the chance in the senior team, alongside my bestie Carla Humphrey. Both of us has shown that we're really good footballers and proved that we're ready to take the step up to senior football. Joe Montemurro, the coach of the senior team, have spoken to me and Carla about our future at the club. He wants us to join the senior team, which is something we're much willing to do.

So me and Carla have signed our contracts. Now we're waiting outside of the senior team's locker room, ready to step in when Joe have finished talking to the team.

Jordan's POV:

Today is our first training since the Christmas break, so it's an understatement to say that I'm not excited to be back. When I got into the locker room I greeted all the girls, before returning to my seat next to my best friends Dan (Danielle Carter) and Alex Scott. As soon as the three of us started a conversation, Joe interrupted us by stepping into the locker room.

"Listen up girls, I have something important to tell you! Before today's training, I would like to introduce some new players promoted from the Academy team." Joe said.

As soon as he announced the news to us, he went out of the locker room to talk to the new girls joining the squad today. Of course Dan took the opportunity to tease me, as usual.

"Oh some new girls, well that sounds interesting!" Dan says, smiling at me while tapping my shoulder.

"Please shut up you idiot!" I reply, with a smile on my face.

Leah's POV:

After about five minutes of waiting, both me and Carla got really nervous. When Joe finally comes out to speak to us before we enter the locker room I feel a little bit better, but I'm still nervous as hell. He asked us if we were ready to meet the team, both me and Carla nodding in agreement.

When we walked in, all eyes were on us. They actually did seem to be a nice squad. Me and Carla were now standing in front of them all, introducing ourselves to the rest of the team.

"My name's Carla Humphrey" Carla said, with a shaky voice.

"And I'm Leah Williamson" I said, sounding very confident.

My nerves are gone now, I definitely feel more confident than before I stepped into the locker room. There's only one thing that can't get off my mind. That girl in the left corner of the locker room just keeps staring at me, even know when I'm not talking. She has looked at me for the whole time, ever since me and Carla walked in. Is there something wrong, or does she just not like me?

Jordan's POV:

When I saw the concern on the blonde girl's face, I realized that I had been staring into her eyes for too long. I quickly dropped my gaze to the ground, breaking the eye contact with her. To begin with, I don't even know why I was staring at her. She just seems to always be so confident. To be honest I might think that she's a little cute too, I mean just look at her!

Unfortunately I think that Dan has read my mind, as she whispers in my ear "You're thinking about Leah huh, aren't you?". I turned my head to face her, giving her a confused expression in exchange, before whispering back "No of course not, what makes you think like that?".

"It's just the fact that you've been looking at her for the whole time since she got here. I mean, you haven't even tried to let go off your gaze in her direction..." Dan continued, now with a big smile on her face.

"Just shut up Dan!" I replied, a little bit louder than I meant to.

Everyone turned around to look in our direction, including Leah, of course... She must be thinking that I'm stupid, I mean who else nearly screams at their teammate when they get annoyed by them? Exactly, no one. No one but me. Oh God, she must think I'm the weirdest person on this whole team. Good job Jord, what do I do now then?

Leah's POV:

I don't really know what was going on, but from out of nowhere I heard someone talk with a way too loud voice, and when I looked in the direction of that noise, it turned out it was that girl in the left corner's voice we all have heard. Then it hit me. I recognize that girl, it's Jordan Nobbs! Hold on a second, Jordan Nobbs, the famous midfielder playing for England and Arsenal, have been staring at me for the whole time, and now she's nearly screaming in the locker room. I really wonder what's wrong with her, I couldn't even imagine she would be acting like this, especially not regarding to her professionalism both on and of the pitch.

To my relief, Joe told me and Carla to find an empty seat, making me think of something else for a second. There weren't to many seats left, me and Carla had to split up. Carla made her way to a seat at the right side of the locker room, leaving me with no other choice than to take the last empty seat, which were near that left corner were Jordan has her seat. I sat down on the right side of Alex, the team captain. She was very kind to me and made me feel welcome. I feel like I can trust her, so when everyone else went out to the training ground, I asked Alex if I could have a quick talk to her.

"This maybe sounds a bit weird, but it's just... erm, it just feels like Jordan doesn't like me. I mean, since Carla and I got here, it seems like she's been looking at me for the whole time. Like, have I done something wrong, or is it just that she don't want new players on the team?" I asked in confusion.

Alex bursts out into laughter, before smiling at me while replying "I'm 100% sure she's not mad about having more players on the team, she loves to compete and show off her skills. I don't think she stares at people for no reason, and if she actually stared at you I know her intention wasn't to make you feel uncomfortable. Don't worry, it's gonna be alright. Trust me, she's my best friend."

I wasn't sure about what Alex meant when she said that Jordan doesn't stare at people for no reason, but I'm both happy and relieved that she answered my questions.

We went out to the rest of the team together, to get the first training of the year started.
