You don't see anyone for more than three days.

Theo has all but vanished, and you're bored out of your mind in the tiny little room. There's a chest next to the bed with some food, but otherwise your cell is dull and unwelcoming. You're not sure if he's angry with you, or just busy, or killed by Notch, or what, but there's no sign of him. You even tried yelling for him through the window of your door. Nothing.

You're pretty sure Notch would let you out if he did take out Theo, though, which eases your mind. Captor or not, he's become your friend. You don't want to see him dead.

Finally, as you lie in bed at the end of the third day, he reappears.

You're dozing on the mattress when you spot a red light, and your eyes flicker open to see red eyes glowing on the other side of the room. You push yourself up, and he jumps.

"Sorry."

"Sorry?" You echo, making a fist and rubbing at your tired eyes. "For what?"

"I thought you were asleep." He shrugs, not looking you in the eye.

"Uhm." You stretch your arms above your head. "Where've you been?"

"Just working."

"For three days??"

"Hey, sometimes I can focus." He gives you a halfhearted grin. "Sorry to leave you all alone so long. I got lost in my work."

"Make any progress?"

"A bit." His gaze flits away again. "Notch is, as I've mentioned, really powerful."

"I'm aware."

"How are you doing? Have you run out of food?" Theo changes the subject. "Anything I can get you while I'm here?"

"I'm bored." You complain. "There's nothing to do but eat and sleep. Or... I could do push-ups or something, I guess, but I don't really want to."

"Fair enough. I also avoid physical exertion at every opportunity." Theo nods, nonchalant. "Um, I can add a jukebox and some disks if you want. And some noteblocks."

"That sounds good." Playing around with music was something, at least. You watch with half-lidded eyes as he places a row of noteblocks on one side of the room, then a jukebox beside your bed, along with a chest which he fills up with disks. "Are you too busy to hang out with me?"

"Pretty much, sorry." He gives you a half-smile. Something's definitely off with him.

"Did something happen?" You ask, trying to sit up straight. He blinks at you.

"Not really. Why?"

"You're... jumpy."

"Oh." He fiddles with his sleeve. "Maybe I'm just tired."

"Maybe." He was definitely lying about something, but you don't think you can get it out of him. He'd just tell you more lies. "Where's Manfred been?"

"Manfred?" The hacker echoes, glancing up at you. "Oh... not sure. He's wandering somewhere, I guess."

"Oh." Not incredibly comforting, but whatever. "Okay. Have fun."

"Thanks." Without looking at you, he disappears. Worry twists your stomach, and, slowly, you get to your feet. You amble over to the chest, then fish out a disk- 'cat' - and stick it in the jukebox.

You sit down on the floor beside it as the melody starts to play, letting your head rest in your palm. You're not really sure what to do now. You have no contact with... basically anyone but Theo, you don't know where your husband is, and you don't dare rely on Notch to come and save you. You're definitely kind of attached to Theo, and don't want him hurt, but it would really unfair to everyone else for her to stop trying to oppose him - in the little ways you could, anyway.

You lean back against your bed, letting out a deep sigh. You're really tired of not having any say in your situation. When you get out of here, you're definitely gonna have Herobrine train you some more. Next time, you won't go down without a fight.

Steve hides behind the doorway, peeking out into Notch's chamber as his creator types in a string of numbers. The miner recognizes a few strings of code on his screen - a tracking program. He's hunting down Entity 303.

Steve hesitates, then starts to step out, opening his mouth to try and get his attention, but at that moment Notch disappears in a burst of golden light. The miner stops short, freezing in the doorway and glancing behind himself on a reflex. He had been intending to ask if there had been any progress in the search, but... now he was gone. Could he figure it out himself?

Venturing closer, Steve takes his creator's place in front of the main screen, skimming the lines of code. He's hardly an expert, but he recognizes the tracking program, and as he watches it appears to pick up a signature - Notch's. He's searching the area himself.

His eyes stray to a second screen, the one showing Y/N's health and hunger bars. Again, she appears perfectly fine, so he keeps looking. 303's signature is also there, but he had no status bars. He's on creative mode. The last one on the list appears to be Null.

Though he looks, however, he can't find any coordinates. Even Null, whose location Steve is sure Notch knows, has no coordinates listed. Unfortunate.

As he starts to turn away, though, a beep from the main screen catches his attention. Red text is sprawled across the screen, a warning.

"an error was spotted; line 396" Steve reaches out, scrolling up to the offending line, only to freeze in shock as he watches the code be rewritten.

The text on the screen is changing, exactly how it would be if Notch were here working on it, but the creator is nowhere to be found. 303. It has to be. Notch had called him a hacker, this must be his doing. Steve's eyes flit about the room, looking for some way he might be able to call his master back - only to stop short at the sight of a strip of coordinates under the hacker's signature.

His location has been revealed. This could be his chance - but, he has no idea where Notch is, and he's not nearly strong enough to take him out on his own. Maybe he should get Alex-?

Y/N's coordinates are visible too, Steve realizes with a start. He could get her out of there. Quickly, he checks his inventory - he has a pickaxe, a sword, and a few baked potatoes. Good enough.

Heading back to the screen, the miner scrolls down to the latest line of code, and enters his own, a simple command.
