You're no stranger to being alone, but this loneliness and grief is stronger than anything you've ever felt before.

Theo's brought you to the End, to a castle built of gold and diamonds. It's far too grand, when you consider you're the only one who will ever see it. It sits on a static island in the void, evidently isolated from the rest of the dimension considering you can't see any other land no matter how hard you try. High walls surround the edges, making certain that you can't make any attempt to escape. While you have free range of the island otherwise, your gilded prison is just that - a prison.

You're alone in the castle, not even a single mob makes its' appearance. You know Endermen should be spawning frequently, so you surmise that they were probably shut down as well. Was this really Theo's plan? To rule an empty dimension, devoid of color and laughter and life? Did he really hate people that much?

You spend a long time - maybe a couple days, but you can't tell - exploring the castle. You only rarely see Theo as you wander through his empty home, which is cold and bare, devoid of any comforts. No furniture, carpets, or even beds. It's useless as a home and barely viable as a shelter, all it accomplishes is probably what it was built to do - to be a monument to his power and his victory. You wonder idly when he found the time to build this.

Theo himself never moves from his throne in the great hall of the castle, always typing away at a virtual keyboard. You're not sure what he's doing, he's already won, hasn't he? Did he shut down all mobs, or just the ones in this plane? Notch had once 'stored the minecraft world away' to fight Herobrine - could Theo do the same thing? You have a lot of questions, but you can't bring yourself to ask. Not yet. Not after everything he's done.

But, eternity is a long time. Eventually, one way or another, you'll work up the courage to get your answers. It's not like you have anything else to work towards in this miserable world.

The day to confront him comes a few days later.

Obviously, you can't really tell how fast time is passing, there's no indication whatsoever of day and night in your environment, but you estimate it's been about three days since Theo trapped you here. Not that it really matters, but it helps your deteriorating sanity to have some grasp of the passage of time.

Leaving the small sanctuary you've made yourself in a corner of a small room, you make your way through the castle, the layout of which you've already memorized after having nothing to do but wander the grounds of for the past few days. You go over your questions a hundred times as you make your way to the throne room, rewording them over and over, but you're still not ready when you approach your captor's throne.

"Nice of you to show your face." Theo comments as you step into view, not looking up from the small screen floating in front of him. "I was wondering if I was ever going to see you again."

"Like you have any right to be mad at me." You shoot back, hands balling into fists at your sides as your apprehension turns into anger. "It's not like you didn't know where to find me. I'm trapped here."

"Right, whatever." His voice is flat and emotionless as he taps at his keyboard. "Tell me, what have I done to warrant a visit from the high-and-mighty Nether Queen?" His words send tears springing to your eyes, and you immediately whirl around to leave.

"****. I'm sorry, that was mean of me." His tone changes instantly, from cold and hard to soft and apologetic. "I'm sorry. What did you need?"

"I wanted," You grind out from behind clenched teeth. "To ask you some stuff."

"Go ahead." You hear shuffling, and glance behind you to see Theo climbing down from the platform his throne rests upon to approach you. He places a block of wool, and gently takes you by the arm, pulling you down to sit on it before settling beside you. It's a kind gesture, but you don't really trust it. "Y/N?" He prompts, and you run through your questions once more before choking one out past the lump in your throat.
