Talbot was right about the bucket. Your entire body shivered as you leaned away from him and threw up in it. Your entire body was covered in bright glowing orange blisters. Your throat was the most effected, you couldn't speak, and could only make growling and whimpering noises. You couldn't tell if you were crying, or it was just the blight serum pouring out of your swollen eyes. Your body would randomly twitch in pain, and everytime Talbot came back with another syringe you would kick at him.
"Stop fighting back." He kicked your hard in your stomach, pain shot through body, and you twitched again.
You leaned over and vomited in the bucket again. He snorted.
"I guess I could leave you alone for now."
Talbot sat down on his makeshift bed and started to read through Vigo's journal again. When toy weren't in pain, you felt incredibly annoyed that he just took the book from you then would read it right in front of you.
You reached your foot out and kicked the bed, it wasn't a very strong kick considering you were in pain and your arms kept you from getting to close, but it was enough to annoy him.
"Can you calm down for 5 minutes?" Talbot snapped.
You made a loud noise as in saying "no."
Talbot sighed and stared at you for a moment.
"Sense I don't have anyone else to show, I'll show you what's going on."
Talbot rushed over to thr far away desk grabbed a handful of items, then he sat down next to you, unfortunately out of reach from your feet. He held up a couple of animals, some torn up pages, and another syringe of serum.
"This blight serum, it got Vigo out of The Void, but I've always wondered what it could do when out of The Void."
Talbot held up a couple of dead animals, one was a crow, another a rabbit, the other a rat.
"I tried experiments on animals first, hoping to see some form of reaction from The Entity, I got nothing." He set the animals down in front of you.
You sat up and stared down at the poor creatures, one was still twitching. All of them were pooling the blight fluid out of their bodies. Talbot noticed that you sat up, he seemed excited and held up some torn notes.
"These are the notes I've been taking from my experiments... I know you probably don't want to look at them..."
Despite every single nerve in your body being in pain; despite the fact that he kidnapped you, despite the fact that he tortured your friends...you felt a little bad for him. He was stuck here just like the rest of you, The Entity hadn't been kind to anyone, who knows what it did to him.
You did your best to gesture to the notes Talbot held. Talbot was obviously confused at first, but spiked up at the sight of you wanting to see the notes.
"You...really want me to show you the notes?"
You nodded.
Talbot took a deep breath, reached his arm up, and took off his hood. He ruffled out his matted shaggy red hair, it was long and hung past his shoulders, he had dark green eyes which explained why you couldn't see bis eyes even with bis hood on. He had dirt and dried blood on his face. He sighed as if waiting yo do that for years.
He begin to explain the blight serum and his theories on where it came from and why The Entity did it. He was clearly skipping over the actual experiments, but you felt warmth crawl inside you knowing you allowed him to go on about something he took pride in... even if it wasn't the best thing.
