Early Life:
Goldie was born on January 12, 2020, the first son of Sodapop Curtis (1948-2084) and Brianna Jones Curtis (2000-2084). Goldie grew up with his younger sister and brother, under the pleasures of modern technology that he is constantly teaching his father. He is shown to be careful, timid, and gentle. He is said to resemble his father, Sodapop Curtis.

Personal Life:

2038:
In 2038, Goldie was a football player for Will Rogers High School, set with a football scholarship to attend Ohio State University in the fall. It is revealed in a flashback that Dallas Winston suggested the name "Gold", because that is Bri's favorite color and Soda has a hidden gold tooth. Goldie is often amazed by the "cave-man" technology that his parents adore and he is forced to interact with in 1965, mostly by cords, physical keys, and the large amounts of paper that is used and wasted. Goldie is not the traditional jock; he is sensitive, smart, and cautious. He claims to have little car knowledge, getting taught briefly by Soda and Steve sometime in his youth. In 2036, Soda began teaching him how to drive, but they didn't leave the driveway in the first lesson. He occasionally gets in trouble with his parents, when he is first introduced he is caught and grounded for sneaking out in the middle of the night.

1965:
The first interaction Goldie has with Bri in 1965 is when he calls her phone number and she answers, and orders him to not call that number again, unknowing to both of them. He later finds her in school, and finds his way into The Gang by becoming her partner for a school essay. Goldie is shown to be the leader of his little group of siblings, because he is the oldest. Throughout the book, Goldie is constantly reminding The Gang that he is a lover, not a fighter. When asked, it's revealed that Goldie prefers artsy, quiet girls over the loud and bold and hard-core greaser girls of 1965. Goldie becomes one of Soda's best friends, so he gained his trust and was able to obtain information about him and Bri. His main goal through the book is to get his parents together and to get back safely with his siblings to 2038.

Candy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 24, 2024, the only daughter of Sodapop and Brianna Curtis. Candy is shown to have a love of antiques, often pulling her family into antique stores. Candy has an outgoing and bubbly personality, often going against the norms set by her older brother. She is said to resemble her mom, Bri.

Personal Life:
2038:
In 2038, Candy was a freshman in high school. She was constantly referred as "Goldie's little sister" in school, which she didn't mind. Candy finds old photos of her parents which makes her question the genuineness of the age her parents claim to be.

1965:
Candy is cautious when she first goes to 1965, but is quick to realize that the group of siblings need to be smart, a little cunning, and quick on their feet to survive and figure out how to get back to 2038. Candy is shown to be a follower to her big brother, Goldie, but throughout the book she starts to take charge and go against the boundaries set by Goldie. She is constantly talking Goldie into taking risks that may out them for being from the future, and it usually works in their favor. Her main goal throughout the book is getting home safely, and gaining the trust of Bri, which she is successful.

Early life:
Red grew up with the most advancements in technology, so he is constantly asking what paper is or what paper currency is.

Personal Life:
2038:
Not much is known about Red and his experience in 2038. He is shown to be a quiet kid who is still trying to figure out the world. His parents put pressure on him to be good in school, due to getting grounded for a poor grade. He wears large rimmed glasses which makes his eyes appear larger, and has bright red hair.

1965:
When in 1965, he is still assuming that he and his siblings are playing the game they began playing in the attic. Red is much younger than the rest of The Gang, but sees them as the adults he grew up with. He is constantly left in the car, in a diner, or at the Curtis house to avoid interacting with people and accidentally say that he is from the future, so there is an implied past reputation that Red is bad at keeping secrets. Because of his age, he is often the follower and is constantly told what to do, but he doesn't mind. Red is also naive, which Dally tends to take advantage of. Red also comes out of his shell throughout the book, ready with questions and sassy remarks. Everyone assumed that Red would be the first to announce their time travel secret, but it ends up being Goldie and Candy, which Red gloats over.
