Early Life: Not much is known about Sandra's early life. She's a greaser who was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She met Sodapop Curtis when he was working at a soda parlor in the summer of 1964. They began dating shortly after, but broke up in September of 1965.
PersonalLife: 1965: Sandy got pregnant by a greaser named Victor James. He was a greaser from Central, a rival school in Tulsa. Originally, she told Soda that he was the father and eventually told him the truth. Despite cheating on Soda, he wanted to raise the baby as his own. She ran off to Florida to live with her grandparents, cutting off contact with Soda and Victor completely.
Harry James was born in May 1966.
A year later she met Felix Gerry at a bar in Miami. A couple weeks later they ran off to get married, which resulted in her grandparents kicking her out of their home in Florida. She had her son, Justin Gerry, shortly before divorcing Felix due to their constant fighting.
Sandy never got a job, and Felix had custody over Justin and her grandparents had custody over Harry. Sandy was living on the streets, becoming friends with the drug crowds to survive. She developed a drug addiction that ended up taking her life.
Death: Penniless Sandy ran off to New York, hoping to start a new future. She was quick to disappear into the Manhattan underground. On August 16, 1974, her body was found in an abandoned building. The medical examiner determined that the cause of death was heart failure due to the long time drug use, and also determined that she had been dead for several days.
