Steve: he goes all out, wears an ugly American Flag denim vest, and forces everyone to play at least one round of beer pong with him. He is the personification of "'Merica". He was excited for the fireworks, so he sits in the gravel to enjoy it.
Soda: he tried to start a slip n slide, and throws a football at every unsuspecting person at the lot. He cannot sit still. Sandy comes by for a bit but leaves to meet with Evie. During the fireworks, the bright colors and explosions distract him enough to sit next to Bri and enjoy the show.
Two: he eats faster than what Darry can get off the grill. He was too drunk to focus on the fireworks.
Bri: helped prepare some of the sides, like the potato salad and the pound cake, and sits next to Soda in the opened trunk of her car during the firework show, because they didn't bring enough chairs.
Darry: overly concerned host who is also manning the BBQ, and he doesn't let anyone touch it. He's having the least amount of fun, and just wants to sit down and eat a hot dog. He finally closes the BBQ after dark but he's practically asleep by the time the fireworks begin.
Dally: "purchased" the fireworks, and supplies the matches. He's in charge of the fireworks, and lights them when it finally gets dark. Sylvia hangs out with him after it gets dark, and she meets Bri briefly.
Pony: he goes fact-checking around the entire party, announcing the true meaning of the holiday every chance he gets and killing everyone's mood.
Johnny: just chilling, and jumps at the sound of the fireworks going off. Dally lends him his coat to make him feel more comfortable
