No One's P.O.V.

Everyone watches the poor girl in the next room, unsure what to do.

Bucky watches the girl with confusion. She had called him father. But, he can't have fathered a child. With all of HYDRA's rules, he knows there's no way...He may not remember certain things from HYDRA, but he knows the rules.

But the way she had stared into his eyes and called him papa made him feel like he knew her. Like something was missing.

' Maybe I look like her father. ' Bucky thinks to himself.

A painful feeling stings his heart at the sight of the young, hurting girl, screaming for him. A strange protectiveness rises in Bucky's chest. Without a second thought, Bucky pushes past the lab doors and walks into the room.

Only seconds ago, he told the others he didn't know this girl, now, he's rushing to her aid? This is confusing for everyone but the girl who's hoping he'll remember her.

When he'd get memory wiped, he'd sometimes remember her. She really really hopes he remembers her. She needs him now. They're in a new place, filled with strange people, and the only person she cares about and really loves, can't remember her.

No one speaks as they watch Bucky move towards the mysterious little girl.

" Don't l-let them h-hurt me, papa. Please I'll be good. I'll be better than before, I promise. " She begs with tears flowing down her cheeks.

" I'm not-" Bucky begins but stops himself. Not wanting to give the girl another thing to cry. " No one's gonna hurt you, kid. These are good guys trying to help you and make sure you're okay and healthy. " Bucky tries to reassure the girl.

" N-no, remember what they did? What they did to us? To you? Doctors and strangers are bad, papa. Really bad. You always told me n-never to trust anyone. People are bad, papa, bad. " The girl's eyes are glued to the man in front of her.

Deciding not to fight with the girl. Bucky smiles softly. " These doctors are good. They're different from the ones where you were at. Where we, were at. These are good doctors. They're the good guys. " Bucky tries to convince the girl.

The girl reaches out and hugs the man she considers her father tightly. She sobs into his chest, rambling incoherently.

The soldier visibly tenses. He awkwardly pats the small girls back.

The girl slowly starts calming and rests her head on his chest, over his heart.

" What's your name? " Bucky asks after reading Steve's mouthed question.

" Dor-Dorothea. Dorothea-Lavern. " The girl whispers quietly.
