Bye Jughead

Betty's POV

I woke up from the sound of a car speeding past Kevin's house, I looked around and saw I had been sleeping on his couch, Veronica was on the other couch whilst Kevin had pillows piled on his coffee table which he rests upon. Not my usual beautiful sight. I sat up and stretched my limbs that ached due to sleeping in the wrong position. 'Ronnie. Kev. Wake up' I yawned and shook them awake. Veronica rubbed her eyes before stretching and then sitting up, 'what happened?' She asked looking around at the bottles and food. 'I'm guessing we got drunk and ate a lot, maybe had our own little party' I laughed as I stood up and began cleaning up. 'It's fine betty boo, I'll clean it later' Kevin said as he got off the coffee table. 'You sure?' I asked, 'yes, you go home and make up your decision and if you do decide to come I'll meet you at the whyte wyrm' he smiled. I gave them both a hug before texting jughead to pick me up.

He arrived within a few minutes, I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before jumping on his motorbike behind him. 'Where to?' He asked as I wrapped my arms around his torso, 'yours' i said resting my cheek on his back.

We had been driving for about a minute till we came to a stop at a red light. I had finally decided what I was going to do, whether I was staying or going. The light flicked to orange then green, and he started driving again, I gripped onto his abdominal area as he began to speed up. As his top slowly began to lift up I started stroking circles on his bare skin making him tense a little. 'What are you doing?' I heard him chuckle, 'nothing, just making up for the morning cuddles I missed' I smiled not that he could see it. I dragged my fingers lower gently stroking circles slightly unloved his pants. 'Betts,' he said 'your distractions me, wait till we get home' he laughed. I rolled his top back down and waited for the engine to stop.

We got of his bike and grabbed his hand as we walked up to his apartment, 'I missed you last night and this morning, it was so cold' Jughead smiled as he unlocked the door. 'I can't remember falling asleep last night, if I'm being honest I can't remember most of last night' I laughed and so did he making his nose crinkle. 'Why'd you want to come here?' He asked as we both sat down on the couch. 'I needed to tell you something. But before I do promise me you'll listen to what I have to say' I said turning my tone more serious. 'Betts your scaring me' he said as he held my hands 'I promise I'll listen to you' he said with a faint smile. I looked at him, I had never noticed how blue his eyes were, like the colour of the ocean and sky mixed together. I kissed him, it could be the last one in a while, taking in every last moment, the way his hands reach to cup my face, the way I feel him smile against my lips, the taste of mint.
After we both pulled away I rested my forehead on his 'your making out like your dying. Your not are you' He asked as his eyebrows crinkle. 'No' I said before sitting back down now having a full view of his face. I cleared my throat and then wiped my hands over my face and then I said 'Juggie, I'm going with Kevin, I'm going Canada.' I watched as his face dropped, 'what? Your only going for a while right?' He asked as he frowned. 'I don't know how long, two months at the least maybe, a year and a half at the most' I mumble not looking at him. 'Baby, you're not leaving me are you? Please don't, I need you.' He croaked and cupped my face and lifted it so I was looking at him. 'Jug, I need to do this. I need time.I'm sorry' I said before standing up and running out the door. As I ran down the stairs crying I called Toni and she immediately picked up her phone and agreed to pick me up. I had walked down the street when I heard Toni's car pull over. I wiped below my eyes before getting in the car, we drove in silence to our apartment. We went inside and I grabbed my huge suitcase and began to fill it with my clothes, 'What's going on?' She asked confused, 'I'm leaving with Kevin, I need a break from Riverdale. Can you look after Cheryl for me, make sure she doesn't run off again. Please. And check up on Veronica every now and then, when me and Kev go she won't have anyone but you guys and archie.' I said with a faint smile. 'Of course Betty, need help?' She asked and I nodded in response. I grabbed my other smaller suitcase as she began to fill my big one with my clothes, I put all the photos I had framed in the suitcase there was one of me and the girls, the one of me and Kevin and Veronica from high school, and a few of me and Jughead. I put all my essentials in there too: toothbrush, hairbrush,charger,laptop and my books before closing the suitcase shut. 'Is that it' Toni asked referring to the clothes she'd packed and I saw she left a few in the wardrobe that don't fit me. I pulled open the bottom draws of my dresser and grabbed four of jughead's shirts and folded them placing them in the bag and then I grabbed a pair of his sweatpants too. I closed the bag shut and zipped it up. 'Ready' i huffed and grabbed the suitcases, rolling them out my room. 'Bye apartment, I'll miss you' I laughed and so did Toni.

Once Toni had drove us to the whyte wyrm I said goodbye to everyone, I had Cheryl crying on one shoulder and Veronica crying on the other. 'I'll be back' I said rubbing there heads. 'Okay just don't go get arrested, otherwise you'll have to sit in the cell for a while' Veronica jokes. 'No promises. I'll miss you' I smiled, 'I'll miss you too Cheryl and Toni' I said hugging all three of them. 'Well we're off' i huffed and gave them one last hug. I took of my serpent jacket giving it one last look before handling it to Toni 'here.' 'Betty you can keep it' she said with a crooked smile, 'thanks' I smiled taking it back and putting it in my bag. 'Well I love you all, see you soon' I mumbled giving them all hugs, 'are you not going to say bye to him' Cheryl asked looking up at Jughead's office, 'I don't think he'll want me to' I shrugged and we all walked outside.

I helped Kevin lift our bags into the rented truck and as we waved goodbye I heard the motorbike sound of the boy I was leaving, everyone turns their heads as he jumped off his bike. 'Were you actually going to leave without saying bye' he began to yell, 'I didn't think you'd want me to' I said back. 'Your unbelievable Betty. Your my girlfriend, even if I was mad you should still say bye' he shouted, 'Jughead I can't be with you if I'm living in Canada, it wouldn't work' I said as he walked toward me. 'Are you really breaking up with me?' He asked and his voice cracked, I hugged him tightly and cupped his face before kissing him, I pulled away and looked at his watering eyes. 'I'm sorry, I have to' I said letting go of him. 'What can I do to make you stay' He asked as I teared up. 'Nothing, there's nothing you can do, I'm going Jug' I cried. He pulled me in for a hug resting his head on my shoulder before whispering 'I love you Betty Cooper, so so much, I need you please.' He loves me, jughead Jones loves me, I wanted to pull him in closer and tell him I felt the same but I couldn't it would only make it harder to leave so instead i let go and said 'bye jughead' before getting in the car. 'Your not even going to say it back' he yelled after me, I closed the car door and sink down in my seat letting out a shaky breathe. 'Fine' I heard him yell and I reckon he walked off because when I waved bye to everyone through the window he was gone.
