The growing sunrise nuzzled past your closed eyelids as an erratic chiming entered your ears. Your dormant face scrunched up as your form began to stir. Both your arms stretched out against the plush coverings. The feeling was so foreign, yet so comforting, and your fingers relished every touch.

As your eyes fluttered open to the dawning day, you took a moment to bask in the newfound well-restedness that surged over your body. It was the first night in ages you had not been plagued by the incessant wanderings of your mind, and for that you were thankful.

As you began to prop yourself up against the headboard, another flourish of chimes graced your ears.

"Hey you, you're finally awake." A warm velveteen tone drew your attention to the far corner of the room where Avdol was musing over a deck of cards, the chiming sounding from the soft clinking of Avdol's bracelets as he moved his hands across the table. Once you rubbed the sleep from your eyes, Avdol greeted you with a warm smile before returning to his deck. His hands gracefully waved over the cards before gingerly plucking up a few. He sat for a moment scrutinizing their contents before letting out a thoughtful hum. You watched on in a daze.

"You know," He began, dragging you from your stupor. "For someone so fickle, you are surprisingly hard to wake up. Rather, someone was quite insistent that I let you continue your rest." He said eyeing a gesture behind you to where Supernova was doting over the cloth fixings of the bed. "No need to worry, however. Mr. Joestar dropped by a few minutes ago and informed me that Mr. Polnareff has not yet been released, so there is still some time before making our way towards India."

"Is there any word on how soon he'll get out?"

"Not yet, although I can't imagine it will be long."

You felt a twinge of sorrow at the Frenchman's expense. "He must be feeling terrible being tucked away in an uncomfortable cell only to be let out to be berated with questions." An experience harboring a distant familiarity to you.

You abruptly swung your leg over the side of the mattress and stood up, placing some physical distance from resurfacing memory. At least he is getting help from Mr. Joestar...

"Oh I almost forgot!" Avdol practically jumped out from behind the desk and crossed to the other side of the room picking up a sizeable backpack. He turned to you and gestured for you to take it. "Mr. Joestar dropped this off for you. Please, take it."

You gave the man a curious look before he handed it off to you with another warm smile. You stammered a small thank he as walked off to return to his cards.

You laid the bag down on the bed behind you and carefully unbuckled it to explore its contents. A mix delight and guilt washed over you upon seeing that it was filled with an assortment of clothing and toiletries.

"Why don't you go and take some time to get ready for the day? I'll be sure to let you know if Mr. Joestar or the others drop by with any updates."

You nodded in acknowledgement, picked up the bag and quickly made way to the bathroom. You placed the bag down on the counter an wiped away the dampness forming around your eyes. I know I kind of forced myself into the group, but I wasn't expecting everyone here to be so nice... Except maybe Jotaro, but even he has his moments. You took a deep breath to recompose yourself, and turned around to start the water in the shower behind you. Taking a moment to inhale the growing steam made you appreciate the new luxury of being able to take regular showers. You knew you hadn't done much yesterday and therefor were not dirty, but it felt so good to be finally be clean after so long and you weren't about to take that for granted.

After stepping out of the shower, you spent a few minutes towel drying before putting on a few of the clothes previously stuffed in the bag: a pair of loose jeans, a colorful sweater, and some generic undergarments (all oddly in the right size, but you weren't about to question the kind gesture). Once fully clothed you took notice of Supernova picking through the remaining contents of the bag. She turned to you with a brush and few hair ties in hand and gestured for you to turn around. You complied, and she spent a few minutes detangling your hair before putting it up in a ponytail of sorts.
