Five years later

Nyssa looks up from helping Hayes with her homework as Felicity walks in. "How was work?"

"It was fine. No disasters today. How was your day?" Felicity asked.

"Mommy!" Lucas ran into the room. "Hi."

Felicity smiles and leans down to lift the five year old up. "Hi baby."

Nyssa glances toward the bassinet when her and Oliver's youngest begins to cry.

At that moment, Oliver walks in carrying their three year old daughter Alice. "Is Jonah okay?" he asks.

Sara came into the room and lifted the little boy up.

"Dad, my computer has stopped working and I've got homework to do." Valerie said.

Felicity shifts Lucas in her arms. "Let me look at it."

Jonah was squirming in Sara's arm, trying to nurse on her shirt.

"He has some bottles in the fridge." Nyssa says softly.

Sara nodded and moved to the fridge.

Hayes sighs as she stares at her homework. "Mama, I don't understand."

Nyssa looked at Hayes' work again and began explaining it again.

"Val, let's go fix your computer." Felicity says softly.

Valerie nodded and followed her mother out of the room.

"What time is the Barbecue?" Sara asks as she walks back into the room.

Jonah contently taking his bottle in her arms.

"Six." Oliver said.

Nodding her head, Sara moves to sit down.

"It's going to be fun." Nyssa said.

Alice shifts in Oliver's arms, tiredly rubbing her eyes. The three year old was due for a nap.

"I think it's nap time." Oliver said.

Whining softly, Alice just curls into him.

Oliver left the room.

"Thanks mama." Hayes says before getting up and leaving the room with her school stuff.

Nyssa tiredly runs a hand through her hair.

"Long day?" Sara asked.

The brunette looks up and forces a weak smile. "Something like that."

"What's wrong?" Sara asked.

"I'm fine." the brunette responds softly.

"Talk to me." Sara said. "We're friends, you can talk to me."

Taking a deep breath, Nyssa looks up at her. "I'm sick."

"What?" Sara asked.

"I went to the doctor." Nyssa says softly. "I have cancer."

"What kind?" Sara asked. "How far along?"

The brunette looks down. "Lymphoma, stage three."

"We can get chemotherapy." Sara said.

Nyssa takes a deep breath and runs a hand through her hair. "I can't, not while I'm breastfeeding Jonah."

"Jonah is old enough for formula now." Sara said.

"I've breastfed all of my kids Sara." The brunette says softly.

"I know. But you need chemotherapy. Jonah will be okay on formula now." Sara said.
