Pop's was empty, besides the couple sitting at a corner booth, on their first date together. Kurtz sipped from his milkshake as Clemintine ate her meal, rather quickly.
"How did you like the game yesterday?" Kurtz pushed the milkshake a few inches away. The game he was referring to, was a game by the name of Griffons & Gargoyles; which the two had played with Kurtz friends after school.
Clemintine took a moment to swallow before speaking. "It was fun." She smiled. "I like it more than I thought I would."
Kurtz smiled. "Good. I'm glad. Would you want to play it again?"
"Yeah." Clemintine nodded. "I'd like that."
"How's school been so far?" Kurtz jumped into the next subject.
"Good." Clemintine answered. "How about you?"
Kurtz shrugged. "It's been alright. It's cool that all the Northsiders aren't trying to kill us yet."
Clemintine chuckled. "Give them time, that might just change."
"You're really cool, Clemintine." Kurtz informed her. There was a look in his eye. Only two other people shared that same look when around Clemintine. Too bad she had never noticed. Kurtz felt nervous as he thought over his next words, scared of her answer. "Would you want to go out again?"
Clemintine looked at him through her lashes, after one more sip from her milkshake, she nodded. "I don't see why not."
A wave of relief washed over him. "Awesome."
Clemintine checked her phone, seeing several texts from Cheryl. She sighed heavily. "I have to go." She stood. "My cousin needs me. I'll see you at school." She lent down, placing a quick, yet gentle, kiss on his cheek.
"By-bye." He stuttered in shock, watching her leave.

"I was on a date, Cheryl." Clemintine complained, entering Cheryl's bedroom.
Cheryl threw her hands up in defense. "I had no part in this. It was all Toni's doing."
Clemintine turned to her cousin in confusion. "What is going on?" She asked, looking at Toni.
"You haven't been coming to practices, you won't sit by us at lunch, you two need to talk." Toni motioned to Josie. Clemintine just now realized that she was in the room. "Apologize to each other."
Josie scoffed harshly, rolling her dark eyes. "I don't have anything to apologize for. I've done nothing wrong."
"Excuse me?" Clemintine asked loudly, causing all three girls to jump in surprise. "You tried to fuck my boyfriend at my rapists party. You knew how close I was to Sweet Pea, and you fucked him anyway."
"What?" Toni asked. Cheryl looked at her cousin. Clemintine's eyes filled with tears, many horrible memories resurfacing. "That's what happened?"
Cheryl pulled Clemintine close, her arms enveloping her. Josie spoke. "It's not like you and Sweet Pea were together."
"It doesn't matter anymore." Clemintine wiped her eyes with her long sleeve.
Josie shook her head. "You think the world revolves around you, Clemintine."
Toni stepped in front of her. "You obviously don't know her. You were never her friend, were you?" Toni crossed her arms over her chest. "It was a mistake asking you to come. Leave." Josie scoffed one last time and stormed out.
