« La orilla del río »
A month had passed since Clemintine's friends spoke to her Uncle. They were losing hope that she would ever be allowed back. Especially since she hadn't been to school in days.
That was, until today. Clemintine walked through the front doors of Riverdale High in fashion. Her weathered Serpent jacket rested on her shoulders. The rips in her white jeans showed the fishnets underneath, all tucked into her ankle boots. A dark turtleneck under the jacket, and she wore a fresh face of dark makeup.
Boys whistled as the girl passed by. The students all wondering where she had been.
"Clemintine." Evelyn stopped the girl. "I haven't seen you lately, are you okay?"
Clemintine walked past her. "I'm late for something, sorry." She wasn't very sorry.
The door to the Swords and Serpents opened, the girl with pink hair entering. The boys stared in awe. "What?" Clemintine looked at them in confusion.
"You're back." Sweet Pea stated faintly.
"Yeah." Clemintine chose a seat and sat down. "Jackson said it was okay."
"We're glad to have you back." Jughead spoke.
"So," Clemintine put her feet up on the desk next to her. "how are we getting the Poisons back?"
Jughead smirked, chuckling. "I was hoping that you might have an idea."
"I have a few." Clemintine answered.

Screams and crashes came from a nearby classroom. Clemintine pushed through the crowd, getting herself mixed in the chaos.
"Peaches, Cheryl! What the hell?" Clemintine's screams stopped the physical altercation. "Evelyn and Kurtz? Why am I not surprised? You're all idiots." She sighed. Just then, Jughead and Toni rushed in.
"You know him?" Evelyn questioned.
"He's my boyfriend." She responded.
Suddenly, Principal Weatherbee entered. His eyes scanned the room. "Mr. Jones, Ms. Topaz, follow me." He commanded.
Clemintine exited the room moments later. Kurtz was hot on her tail. "Babe." Kurtz took her hand. "I've never seen you so heated."
"I don't know if I can do this anymore, Kurtz. You're hiding too much from me. You're dealing drugs? And then you get in a fist fight with a bunch of girls and weirdos? I feel like I barely know you." Clemintine explained to her boyfriend.
Kurtz face paled. He didn't know what to say. "I won't keep anything from you again." He laced both her hands in his. "I promise." He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I love you."
There it was. Those three dreaded words. "I think I love you too?" She responded, though it came out as a question. She wasn't sure of the answer.
"You think?" Kurtz laughed. Clemintine nodded as she hugged him. "I'll take that." They both smiled.
"We should get to class." Clemintine informed him.
"Lead the way, Sunshine." Kurtzinstructed.
The two entered the room and found their seats, getting ready for the history lesson of the day.
"Well, Ms. Bartholdy," Mrs. Roads looked over at the student. "its about time you joined us again."
Clemintine faked a smiled. "It's good to see you too, Margaret."
"Mr. James, would you like to inform Ms. Bartholdy on what we're working on."
The boy with dark hair and perfect posture turned to the black and white clad teenager. "We're learning about how the U.S. got involved in World War 1."
"Easy." Clemintine got comfortable in her seat. "Germany kept sinking our ships and tried to get Mexico to attack us." Clemintine looked up at Mrs. Roads. The President requested a declaration of war from Congress, so we could kick some ass."
Mrs. Roads looked stunned. "Okay then." She cleared her throat nervously. "Who was President at the time?"
"Woodrow Wilson."
"Very good, Ms. Bartholdy." Mrs. Roads turned back to the board.
The boy behind the teen leant forward. "How did you know that?"
Clemintine shrugged. "I'm a history nerd." That was the one thing she had gotten from Steven. His love for all things historic. He had always wanted to be apart of it. He got his wish, but sadly, not in the way he would have liked.
