Ai Type's mother was sitting near his bed.

He was sleeping peacefully tucked safely in the hospital blanket.

His father wasn't here.

He was probably speaking to the doctor.

His mother was cutting some fruits.

Ai Type woke up and sat up with a start.

He started looking around him.

But he started screaming when he saw his mother.

He didn't recognize her.

I ran to his side and tried to calm him down.

"Ai Type...Don't be afraid...That's your mother...Don't worry...She will never hurt you..." I said smiling and holding his hand.

"No...She bad...Type not know" He said trying to take back his hand.

"Shhh...Don't worry...She's not bad...Do you trust me?" I asked.

He shook his head and tried to take his hand again.

"Nightmare...Bad...Type bad" He said.

I hugged him and started patting his back.

"Nightmare...Bad" He said again.

"Don't worry...You're safe...I'll help you...Trust me...Please" I said crying.

"Who...Who you?" He asked pulling away from the hug.

"I'm Tharn...My name is Tharn Kirigun...I'm your...friend" I said.

"Not friend...Type not know...Tharn name know...Type pain...Call Tharn...Tharn not come" He said.

"I'm sorry...I don't know what kind of pain you have been through but I'll always try to help you ok?...I'm your friend...Trust me ok?" I asked.

He looked behind me at his mother.

"She mother?" He asked.

I smiled and nodded.

"You mother?" He asked again.

"No...She's your mother...She loves you..." I said.

He still looked at us skeptically.

But he stopped crying.

That was a good sign.

I nodded and turned to his mother asking her to come closer.

"Mother?" He asked.

She smiled and nodded.

"Ai Type...Do you want to eat?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"But you haven't eaten anything since yesterday" Mrs Thiwat said.

"Type no hungry" He said.

She sighed and nodded.

"Nong Tharn...I have to go now because my husband is waiting...I'm sorry but we have to go back to our home town for now" She said.

I sighed and nodded.

"Don't worry I'll take care of him" I said.

"Thank you...We'll be back soon" She said.

Then she tried to hug Ai Type but he refused her touch.

She smiled sadly then left.

"Ai Type...If you are hungry tell me and I'll feed you" I said smiling encouragingly.

We stayed silent for a few minutes.

Then his stomach growled and he looked at me horrified.

"Type sorry...I sorry" He said crying.

I put my hand on his cheeck and used my thumb to wipe away his tears.

"Don't worry...I won't hurt you...You can eat...Please don't be afraid" I said.

He nodded hesitantly.

Then I got the fruit plate his mother prepared and started feeding him slowly.
