It didn't take long for AM to turn into PM as it was almost the afternoon when (Y/n) had almost reached her destination. The mysterious address, as well as going to her mother's house for the first time in years.
In the back seat of the car, (Y/n) had brought her duffle bag of obscure papers, tapes, along with the camcorder in case if she had found more information that will lead her to the truth. Besides, the likelihood of finding more stuff was bound to happen, if not, why would someone send her to that anonymous address? Maybe for clues? But for what?
Looking back at the paper, (Y/n) then looked up and started to turn the steering wheel and then put it back in its normal position. Just looking at the outside of the house, it may look like just an ordinary brick house, but you could see the lifelessness in it. There was something off about it that caused something to slowly twist in (Y/n)'s stomach.
After parking the car, (Y/n) zipped her coat that she was wearing and grabbed her bag and got out of the car. The house was pretty large for just one person, there could've been another living in this house. (Y/n) knocked on the door and waited while clenching the sleeves of her coat while looking around. Soon, (Y/n) began to knock repeatedly for a while before twisting the knob, finding the door to be unlocked.
The hallway that most likely lead to the living room had little scraps of paper all over the floor and some kind of flat-screen for the door possibly. Going into the living room, there wasn't too much to see, there was a few things that caught (Y/n)'s attention. One of then being that all the furniture was thrown around and out of place and that there was a door that was opened, leading to a basement.
Lightly nudging the door open, it looked almost like a black void with only a little bit of light showing. Again, there were tons of little pieces of paper scattered everywhere so there was hardly anything to go off of. (Y/n) unzipped the side pocket of her duffle bag and grabbed a flashlight and slowly walked down the steps. It was only when she was halfway down the stairs when her leg felt like Jello and she fell the rest of the way down.
(Y/n) began to cough as she started to sit up and started to open her bag to see if the camcorder was broken. It wasn't thankfully, but this wasn't the first time that she randomly fell or started a coughing fit. In fact, that's what held her back for three days before she went on a trip here and to her mother's house because she had symptoms of a fever. Or at least that's what she thought she had, it was still pretty unclear, but for the most part, it could be a fever.
Standing up, (Y/n) was still coughing and dug through her bag grabbing a Tylenol and quickly grabbing her water bottle. (Y/n) chugged the pill down her throat and pounded with her fist on her chest a couple of times before officially looking around the room.
For the most part, there was hardly anything in there just the same as the living room. Papers everywhere and furniture all messed up, almost as if it was like her house before she got there and had the argument with Tim. The house she was in wasn't most likely abandoned by some strange coincidence, it was caused by some kind of fight.
Rushing upstairs to the main floor, before (Y/n) went to the second floor she saw some kind of voodoo-like doll on the top of the stair it was weird and bothersome. On the top floor, there were a ton of doors leading to different rooms. The first one she went into was a bathroom which seemed like the cleanest room yet in the whole house surprisingly. Exiting the bathroom (Y/n) went into another room where there was a bed with the mattress almost off of it. Pulling the mattress aside a little, there was one of those papers again along with another tape of hers titled "Entry Letter ℬ".
Staring at it for a little while, she put it in her bag and turned around to see a canvas with the circle with the X through it. Her heart skipped a beat and quickly opened the door to enter the same room again. She tried again and again before finally, she ended up outside of the house. Looking back at her watch it was around one o'clock and was almost two, it would be best if she left now than rather exploring. Besides, after than weird experience (Y/n) didn't even want to return to this house.
