Chapter 3

Isla's Pov

"I seriously don't want to go"
I scream from my room going through my wardrobe, even though it's a small walk-in one, which may I add is full, I can never seem to find a single outfit that I like and tonight is no different. Walking out of wardrobe and back into my light grey room I look around starting to panic, there's no way I'm getting out of going tonight but I can't go if I don't find something

"I Have no clothes to wear kay!"
I yell looking around until my eyes fall on the picture frame nailed to the dark grey wall and suddenly my stomachs drops and my heart aches

"Which one?"
Kaylee storms into my room breaking my trail of thought and distracting me from the lump forming in my throat

I open my mouth to answer but no words fall through, leaving me with no way to verbally answer her question so instead, I stretch my arm out and point towards the black outfit she's holding "okay thank you" she smiles before charging into my wardrobe and flinging clothes from the hooks and onto the floor

After a few minutes of wrecking my once organised wardrobe, she comes walking out with a white top and blue ripped jeans "now you have something to wear so get changed and meet me downstairs"

I nod and do as she asks, sliding myself into my clothes and holding my hair up in a bobble I walk downstairs to meet Kaylee. Tonight better be better than what I'm expecting it to be "I'm ready" I cough out-earning me a smile

"Go start up the car I'll lock up"
Kaylee demands so I do exactly as she asks, I'm such a good friend.

Climbing into the car, I place the keys into the car and try to start up the engine. Nothing. I try again and nothing.

Sighing I try once more and as I try this time Kaylee joins me in the car but still nothing. Just a grunting noise and then silence "see I'm telling you" I start at I turn my head towards her "even the world doesn't want us to go to the concert"

"Oh shut up" she scoffs "we will go, I'll just go call a taxi"

***

The taxi pulls up in front of the venue, following Kaylee we both climb out of the vehicle and walk towards the entrance, even though the queue lines up for about 10 yards "why are we skipping?" I ask still following Kaylee

"I didn't spend like £300 on two tickets to wait in line" she answers "it's a perk of spending too much money"

As we arrive at the entrance Kaylee passes the tickets to the woman at the door before she shuffles aside allowing us to go in, I hesitantly carry on walking as girls scream at us in anger. Kaylee turns to scream back but pushing her forward I am able to stop that from happening "don't be them" I mutter to her as I keep pushing her away and up the stairs "be you, the person I love dearly"

Getting a laugh of her, I remove my hands from her back and walk beside her "so where are we sat?" I ask looking around at the floor I think we're meant to be at

"Over here" she answers, confidence masking her light voice as she walks over to the seats "actually we might be over the there," she says strolling over to another set of seats "um here?" She whispers, no confidence left.
