I smile.

Though we haven't been together long, Wizryd wanted us to do something special for Valentine's Day. I told him he didn't have to do nothing extravagant, but, of course, he attested with: " our first v-day need to be special."

We're at this fancy ass restaurant, that I ain't even heard of, and he says he got something else planned back at my house.

Pops won't be home.

The only reason I told him not to do anything extra is because I didn't want him to spend a lot of money. Shit he never discuses work, so I figured he ain't have one.

" I am." I say, with a smile. " I-". The vibrating of my phone cuts me off. I roll my eyes and look down. We gave each other two passes for looking at our phones and this is the second time my phone went off. The first was pops.

Wizyrd eyes me as I unlock my phone. I got a message from Noe.

I hated to this special night about Khailil, but the urge to look at what he posted took over. I glance up at Wizyrd, he was eating, not paying me no attention.

I open the app, and I contemplate as my finger hovers over Khailil's name. I press his name and I regret it instantly.
