Jason messed up and he knew it the moment he saw her eyes getting wide and wet. He shouldn't bring up things that happened in the past and not the subject that makes her heartbreak into pieces and her world crushing down to her feet
A few hours back Jason came back from work, angry and frustrated because of his job, things weren't all so great so he yelled at his teammates and he came home all angry and ready to start a fight with his girlfriend
Why didn't she wet the plans, why the windows aren't open, why didn't she finished the dinner when she knew he will be like at eight PM sharp snd why on earth is so warm in their house. And why was she wearing a hoodie when we're so many degrees in the kitchen and she was seating next to the stove
Things didn't bother her because she knew he had to release all the anger and frustration on something, so she let him take it out on her. Sometimes it would be more than yelling. Most of the time times he would come home and grab her by her waist and push her into the wall or whatever she had behind her
She didn't mind that either, she never minded him being a little rough and demanding but what really upset her is when he brings up things that happened in her life. Things that she isn't very fond of and she wants to forget but he simply won't let her
She shouldn't be embarrassed by those things because she didn't want to do all of those things and it's not like she had a choice. When he saw her for the first time she was in her knees snd she had chains wrapped around her wrists and ankles
She hated her father for everything he's done to her, for everything he forced her to do and mostly he hates that he is her father and she has his blood running through her veins
So it's no wonder that when Jason brought up this subject her eyes widened and tears we're already running down her small face, he promised he won't bring that subject up no matter what, he promised he won't ever mention her father or his name.
She didn't even let him apologize, she turned around and took her keys next to the door and climbed into the car driving God knows where. All she knew was hurt snd she didn't want to see or hear Jason for a while.
She drove around the city and stopped somewhere next to a bridge and gazed into nothing less, mind wandering and drifting back to the times his father was still alive and all the hell he put her through.
How he made her learn and learn and learn so she could defend him one day in the court in front of the judges and many other people who would have wanted him locked in a cold empty cell with nothing but him and the rats
But at the end of the day, it wasn't that bad if she thinks about it. If her father wasn't that bad Gangster with a lot of enemies she wouldn't have met Jason and she wouldn't have knows how it feels to be loved by someone, how it feels to live in harmony
Yes, they had a dark time in their relationship at the beginning, they weren't even a couple, Jason saved her and bring her to his home, giving he a roof to live under and just be safe in his warm house. He didn't look at her or talked with her for months, but she didn't mind. He saved her so she was ( is ) thankful for him no matter what
Months later they were getting closer and she leaned more things about him day by day and she started to love the man she was living with. She discovered how soft and funny he can be when he is all comfortable with someone's presence
He loves her too, so so much that he can't even describe it or tell it to the world. Fighting with her makes his heartbreak in a half, makes him hate himself, but tonight he might hate himself a little more because of what he said
He didn't know where she saw, was she safe, was she followed by someone, was she warm. Where was she? She doesn't have friends because she isn't allowed to have friends who might be his enemies.
