“Hi Taylor. I’m Andrea Swift. I think we need to talk. Are you free this Sunday? Can we meet up at a private place? I will text you the place and time”

I said yes, still didn’t believe in what I just heard.

5 minutes later, her message arrived.

I looked at my watch. 3 more hours until our appointment. I laid down the couch and tried to take a quick nap. But even when I closed both eyes, I couldn’t help thinking about what Andrea had to say to me.

3 years. The same thing had happend 3 years ago.

A day that I could never forget.

---

Andrea arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes early. She wanted to make this quick, and then left without seeking for unnecessary attention. Andrea impatiently tapped her fingers on the table. She, herself, was not so sure if she was doing a right thing.

Two minutes later, a young, well-dressed man pulled the door and looked around the private room. He soon caught the eye of Andrea, who was sitting on the table next to the window. Lautner slowly walked towards the table, still wasn’t completely sure if this whole thing was really happening.

But it was.

“I’m so sorry Mrs. Swift, for being late”, Lautner was pretty sure he was 5 minutes early. But still he felt guilty for making Andrea wait.

“No, it’s just me being early.”, Andrea leaned against the chair. She was trying to find a comfortable position to start their conversation. She looked straight into Lautner’s eyes and quickly got into the point.

“Taylor needs your help.”, Andrea said without any hesitation. “Have you read the article on the newspaper? The Hollywood Li[f]e one?”

Lautner simply nodded his head. He started to understand the reason why Andrea asked him for an appointment.

“Do you believe in what they said?”, Andrea kept tapping on the table, faster.

Lautner smiled, and shook his head.

“That’s not the Taylor I know”, he took a few seconds thinking about what he wanted to say, “She’s just not that kind of person. I’m not buying it at all”

“Good. You prove to be the right person I am looking for”, Andrea slightly smiled, crossed her legs and put both of her hands on her laps. She looked at Lautner, feeling so sure that he wouldn’t turn down her offer.

“First...”, Andrea continued talking, now that she had had her confident back. “I wanna say sorry for what happened here a few years ago. I was wrong. Dead wrong. I’m the one who’s responsible for all the mess and pain that Taylor has to suffer from.”

Andrea took a deep breathe, as she was trying not to show any weakness in her voice.

“You must be wondering why I invited you here. Well, I need to make it up for Taylor. I need to give her the happiness that she deserves. She was too young then. I couldn’t just stand there and see her falling in love so deeply that it could possibly break her into pieces. She had just barely found her place in the industry and I couldn’t let anything, or anyone, distract her from her career”, she paused to catch a breath, and also to read Lautner’s reaction.

“But as she grew up, I understand that what I did had deeply affected her in a way that I could never expect. She derseves better things than she has right now. And you, my young man, is one of those things”, Andrea slowly wrapped off her speech, leaving just enough time for Lautner to answer
