After the war, all aurors had been ordered to capture all of the remaining death eaters. Hermione granger had been assigned Draco Malfoy to find. She had went to the Malfoy manor and found him crying in the bathroom.
"Please" he had begged. "I can't go to Azkaban"
"And why not" Hermione sneered.
"i-I just- Hermione please. They will kill me if i do" He whispered.
"Im sorry"She responded. Just then, Draco leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. She melted into the kiss. After a full three minutes, they pulled apart.
"Please" Draco breathed.
"I-" Hermione started
"What are we going to do with him?" Harry asked coming into the room suddenly.
"We.. um... " she stuttered. She did not want him killed but she knew she had to do the right thing.
"Take him away." she ordered confidentiality. Draco looked at her sadly and followed her out. He thought for sure that she had felt something. It turns out she did which is why she decided to visit his prison cell the day before he was going to be executed and ordered that they let her into his cell. After a moment of arguing, the guards agreed and Hermione walked in. She just ran up and hugged him for a few minutes. At that moment, everything seemed perfect. She realized she loved him which is why she pushed Draco out of the cell and locked herself in instead. A few days later, Draco was sitting in the back of the church, listening to the service in tears. She had taken his place. He loved her. He always had. He knew he would never forget the last words she ever said to him,
"Im sorry" Then she had died. Life would never be the same after. The memory of Hermione Granger would haunt Draco Malfoy for the rest of his life, even into the afterlife.
