I looked at Isma a bit confused as to what was going on. I had always heard that dragons were not supposed to watch you. Now all of the sudden the elders were watching me and my mother and father, after just being seperated were staring at me side by side.
They looked very happy and loving on each other, had they gotten back together all of the sudden. I looked at my father still angry for going after a dragon that probably did not even think about him anymore and had not talked to him in a very long time.
"You are not supposed to be watching me... You are breaking the rules you set in place for the rest of the tribe." I said to my father angrily. He looked at me for a few seconds before he finally nodded. He pointed a Socra with a bit of a smiled on his face.
I looked at her and she looked really happy even though she had said some quiet messed up things to me. I wonder if they had heard all of it. If so then they probably would have realized why I was so close to killing Socra. I looked around still confused a bit.
"In an instance like this, sometimes you have to go out of your way." He said to me. I still was a bit confused what he was talking about. Had he not heard everything that Socra had just said to me? He was smiling at me, so I know he had seen me fight.
"Great job Jangra! We are proud of you!" My sister Mik said. Plok nodded to me as well, they must have been all watching me. But for how long, was this all a plan from the entire tribe? Had the black dragon been made to set me up? What was going on?
"I know you must be very confused... I will tell you about it a little bit later, first I want to see you hunt, the elders have already told me that you ran into some humans." He said to me. I looked at him still a bit confused and he looked at me as if it was an apology. I was not going to take it.
I still could not grasp why my father would go after another dragon with us having such a good mother. Was that a lie? Was this all some sort of big game? For what reason was this for in the first place?
"Were the humans a plot as well? I know that humans can hear what dragons say..." I said to him. He looked at me for a few moments before he began to laugh. Then he shook his head at me. I could not see how all of this was some big sort of joke to him.
"Of course not... They just happened to come in, I will have some gaurds be on a look out for them and I will send a couple of dragons out to search around for a new settlement." He said to me. I looked up at him still not thurly convinced if what he was saying was true but I just nodded to him.
"Why are you all here?" I asked them. They all looked at me for a few moments and Socra was the first one to answer after she had been sitting on the ground for a little while. I turned around and she was still standing on the ground but she was not smiling anymore.
"They all wanted to see the final part. Jangra, we believe that you are the dragon of destiny..." She said to me. I looked at her and then I just laughed. There was no way that I was the dragon of destiny. I did not have to powers that the dragon of destiny did.
"We are being serious Jangra... We have seen you do things many dragons have not done before." Himla said to me. I looked at him and then I began laughing. I did not think I had, and how so anyways? I was always hanging out with my friends over being with them.
I always won in a quick little fight or a game, but that was normal for the son of the leader. I had always heard that the kids of the leader usually end up being the leader, they are stronger, faster, and smarter than most dragons.
"How so? I am faster and stronger but that is about it..." I said to all of them. It was funny, the dragon of destiny was supposed to have hidden things that no other dragon knew about, and I never found those types of things.
"There is more to it than that, we have been watching you and seeing things that no other dragon can possibly do, while your friends may tell you that, it is simply not true... You are the dragon of destiny." He said to me. I shrugged, it was true, my friends did tell me I could do things they couldn't because I was the son of the leader.
"That is still not supposed to be allowed... Did you not just hear what Socra just said to me anyways?" I said to them. My mother Isma nodded and smiled at me and pushed against me. Himla was looking at her with pure love which I was confused about with them being apart.
"Yes we did... This was all a part of our plan..." Isma said to me. I was confused as to what was going on still, I just wanted to sit down for a little while and just think, it was too much for me to comprehend, what was real and what was fake?
"So you are telling me Yikla yesterday was a part of your plan as well?" I asked them. Himla looked at my mother and then at Socra and then shook his head. That was the part I was scared about, but there was one other thing that I wanted to ask as well.
"No... That is what made me realized that the destiny dragon was you, it has been a lot bigger than just a dragon, it was about a dragon that found a black dragon, and ended the father." Himla said. I looked at him a bit confused, I wondered what he was talking about.
"What does that mean?" I asked him. He looked at me and then nodded for me to follow and told everyone else to just leave us be. I followed him, we kept going away from the camp, which was not something I was too fond of after I had just had an encounter with some humans not too long ago.
We kept on walking, I wondered who was going to say the first word. I shook my head not thinking about it, he still had not answered my question that I had just asked him. He looked at me and held me down for a stop, we were in one of those big clearings and there was animals all around.
"This means that you are exactly like the king dragon has foretold... The son of the leader, we needed to make sure you were ready for this." He said to me. I looked at him starting to realize what he was trying to tell me. Does that mean?
"So was Penta all a part of this then?" I asked him. He looked at me for a few seconds and then he laughed. He looked a bit confused as to what I was talking about which told me all I needed to know about that question.
"What do you mean?" He asked me. I thought about telling him, he was my father, and also the leader. You were always supposed to tell them about something important that was on your head. He would always give you good advice. Even though I did not want to because of what he had just done to my mother.
"Penta attacked me yesterday, she kept telling me that Kota deserved to be the leader and I was pathetic." I said to him. He looked at me for a few moments and then he walked up to me and held up close to me. It told me all that I really needed to know.
"You know... If it was not for what happened yesterday I was thinking about making him to deputy after Socra passed." He said to me. I looked at him and just looked at the ground, that had not made me feel any better at all. That definitely meant that he had been thinking kicking out my mother for a while.
"That does not make me feel any better... Why do dragons go to you for help?" I asked him. He laughed for a few moments, it was not funny to me, it was an actual question that I was thinking to myself right now.
"No... I'm sorry... She will find out that she was wrong... Besides I am pretty sure that Kota is happy with a dragon right now." He said to me. He said that with such enthusiasm, I realized that he was right, besides I knew Kota was happy with who he was with right now.
"Thank you... What are we doing out here?" I asked him. He nodded accepting my thanks to him and then he looked around at the clearing that we were in. This one was in the middle of the tribe, usually it was not best to hunt in the same area this early because the animals would probably not be back yet.
"This is for hunting, you have already earned yourself with being the next deputy. Now I just need to see if you are actually the dragon of destiny. Either way you are more than worthy to be the next deputy." He said to me, he nodded to me and I nodded back at him. I looked around at the clearling and saw a group of cows together from about 200 meters away.
"You remember all that Socra taught you?" He asked me. I kept looking at the heard for a few seconds, I chose a cow to go after and then I looked back at Himla and nodded to him. "Alright then, show me how it is done."
I looked at the group of cows and moved up on them before going low and queit. Once I was close enough I pulled my claws out, and then I ran at them as fast as I could. I easily caught the cow before it even had time to realize that I was there.
I picked it up, it was really heavy and I stumbled back to my father with it. He was looking at me really surprised and I could see in his eyes that his mind was in another place. I wondered what he was thinking about, this was the first animal I had ever caught.
Had I not done a good enough job to prove that I was the dragon of destiny? I had heard it usually took a couple of months before you actually caught your first one. To be fair I had learned a lot from Plok and Mik. Maybe that would make sense to why he was thinking in his head, I knew he knew that they were helping me.
"Are you okay?" I asked him. He was still looking in a different place and then he realized that I had said something to him. He nodded to me and then smiled at me and then he picked up the cow for me. So much for being the destined dragon, he was way stronger than me.
"Yes... I have never seen a dragon catch an animal so easily... It didn't even have time to even see you there. You were so fast, I have never seen such amazing acceleration." He said. I nodded to him, I had heard that from my friends before, I just thought it was normal for the son of the leader.
"Can I ask you something?" I said to him. He looked up at me smiling and then he nodded to me. "My mother, why?"
