Lost piece of chain

She entered her room, threw her bag on the bed, sat at the corner of it and threw herself on the bed. After a while she took her phone out and started scrolling on her mobile screen. While she was sitting on her bed, the computer chair which was Infront of the table turned and moved slowly towards her and then stops. Like someone was facing her . She was so busy that she did not notice and after scrolling for an hour she went inside the bathroom to freshen up. She came out from the bathroom and wore a loose t-shirt and shorts. She searched for the chain in her bag which was kept on the computer table. While she was searching, she halted at the middle and recalled that she had left her bag on bed and not on the table, she was still a bit confused and trying to comprehend the things which is lately happening to her. She got startled as the phone rang. She took her phone to see who is calling.

"Hey Daniel" she greeted after answering the phone.

"Hello I called you to know..."

she went down to the kitchen while talking meanwhile the drawer to the side opened again. She took the food out from the fridge and put it in the oven. Still talking with Daniel.

"Alreight then see you tomorrow in school", daniel said.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow, bye", lana replied and cut the phone.

She kept the phone near the oven and took out the food from oven. She made herself comfortable and sat on dining table which was put in between the kitchen and hall. While she was eating, she heard the doorbell rang. She went to open the door but nobody was there. She comes back and again started to eat. Again, the doorbell rang. This time she opened the door and shouted

" who is there?"

But nobody showed up. Then she went inside to eat but after reaching to the table she saw the chain on the table and her plate was nowhere to be seen. She felt the air got thicker. With the second passes she started noticing the quietness of the house, the palpitation of the heart, the whistle blown by the joints of the close window can be heard. All of this was screaming the aloneness of her in the whole house. While scrutinizing the situation she saw the plate on cutting table which left on the dining table.

"Who is there in the house", she shouted.

She started panicking. As she was moving slowly towards the plate, she felt something is following her, and she started recalling every single scene from horror movies which she had seen in the past and it was only making the situation more terrifying. She continues to walk, but with every step it was becoming hard for her to see in the back. the steps get slower and the heart beat increased.

Unexperienced silence occupies the whole house. She was still taking the soft scaees steps towards the table Somehow, she reached at the cutting table, she gathered the little courage and finally tries to turn her head. With every movement she felt the speed of the breathing was increasing, the heart was about to explode, the quietness was now screaming loud and she finally fully turns. startled by the view she took a deep breath. Nobody was there. She run straight to her room. After entering in the room, she saw the drawer is open and the piece of chain is inside shining bright as usual. She started panicking and closed the drawer. She veiled herself by the blanket and laid on bed till her mom reach home

"Hey sweetie I'm home".

She heard her mom's voice and ran downstairs.
She was breathing heavily.

"Hey what happened?", her mom questioned.

"nothing just came all the way running", she replied breathlessly.

"Okay, I bought this dress for you, hope u liked it", mom said.

"it's very pretty mom", I replied.
The whole day she spent with her mom in the kitchen. Some of the time helping her and most of the time on phone.
After the dinner Lana went to her room and fell on the bed and started scrolling on her phone.
It was late at night she was so busy on her phone that the clock hit 2 in the night and she couldn't notice. The light of the room was off. Small rays of Street light through her window was invading the room. She was lying on the bed flat on the stomach. There was silence in the room. She started recalling the incident while scrolling to the phone as soon as the clock hits 2:15 the door of the cupboard leisurely started to open. Lana was still busy on her phone. The cupboard got fully open and the dresses slightly moved apart like someone was about to move out. two greyish hands came out crawling followed by the whole body of a woman in a white long sleeveless dress which was reaching till her knees. She was having long black hair. She started to stand slowly just at end of the bed. Lana stop scrolling as soon as she heard someone's heavy breathing. The streetlight turned off and the only light was of Lana's phone flashing on her face. She felt numb. Her heart was beating fast. There was silence the only thing that can be heard was Lana's heart beat and the woman's breathing. The hold on her phone got tighten as she felt that the noise of breathing was now coming closer. With shaking hands, she opened the front camera and moved to her right trying to take a glance at the back. She was staring at the phone while moving a phone in certain angles. Her heart was now banging. The hold on phone got even tighter, the quietness in the room screaming like anything. As she was focuing on the screen the lady moved Lanas hair from the other side and whispered in her ear,

"Found you"

Lana  jumped from her bed screaming and running all the way towards her parent's room.
