Chapter 15 (Hazel)

"Did you hear that Ember Fang and Katherine Summers had a duel out in courtyard after the Quidditch match?" were being whispered all over the Great Hall at dinner. Rumors and accounts of the event were being told at all of the tables. Hazel could hardly believe it.

"Do you know if the rumor about Ember and Summers is true?" Hazel asked Jimin who came late to dinner since he went and showered off after the match.

"Yeah." he said dissapointedly. "I saw it myself. McGonagal took both of them to her office. I haven't seen either of them since."

"You don't think she expelled them do you?" asked Hazel, now worried.

"I doubt it, but they probably lost us a lot of house points and got into some big trouble." replied Jimin.

"Their going to have to do some major butt kissing to their fellow Gryffindors to make up for this." added Taehyung who was sitting next to Jimin. All three of them were at the Hufflepuff table today for dinner.

"Tell me about it." muttered Jimin.

"The only time I lose house points is ocassionally in Snape's potion class...when he's feeling particularlly picky." Hazel said with distaste. She liked potions, but wasn't a huge fan of Snape when he was in a bad mood, which tended to be more often then not.

"Everyone loses points from Snape, even Slytherins do sometimes." commented Jimin.

"Its cause he's evil." taunted Taehyung as he wiggled his fingers teasingly at the two others. Hazel giggled and Jimin rolled his eyes. Suddenly the who hall was silent as everyone looked towards the door. In walked Katherine Summers. She looked exceptionally smug as she walked in, not even in her robes anymore, but in street clothes...Hazel wasn't excatly a fan of the clothes that she was wearing as he low ride jeans and slightly too small top didn't really suit her.

"Looks like she's back on the prowl right after getting in trouble." whispered Taehyung.

"When is she not on the prowl?" giggled Hazel.

"Don't make eye contact. She takes it as a sign of pusuit." hissed Jimin as he turned away from her. All three of them turned to look down at their food. A few moments later a hand touched Hazel's back and she nearly screamed but stopped herself when she saw who it was.

"Ember! Blimey, you scared me!" exclaimed Hazel as she moved over and Ember sat down to eat in between her and Jimin. 
   "So what did McGonagal say to you and Summers?"  Asked Jimin.
   "Scolded both of us and gave us detention for a week and took 15 points from Gryffindor for each of us. Oh and she's having Katherine help Filtch clean the court yard everyday for the rest of the month." Replied Ember nonchalantly as she took a bite of food.
   "But she kept me back and had me explain what happen and then gave me back five House Points for my honesty."  She continued.
    "Well that could have been much worse."  Commented Jimin. 
  "Your lucky it was her who found you guys and not Snape.  The punishment would have been much worse."  Added in Taehyung. 
    "What caused you to get into a fight with Katherine Summers anyways?  She had to have provoked you. There is no other way."  Hazel thought aloud.
   "She was bashing my parents for being muggles."  Replied Ember, "and besides she technically cast the first spell so I was defending myself.  Fortunately Katherine is a terrible spell caster.  Also I don't know who,  it some boy in the crowd around us cast a shield charm over me...but I did see who it was.  Did you?"  Ember turned to ask Jimin who shook his head.
    "No idea."  He replied. 
"Well luckily you weren't expelled.  That would have been rather unfortunate, especially in your first year."  Commented Taehyung.  Ember narrowed her eyes at him.  She and Taehyung still really weren't on best terms, even though Taehyung was trying to put in an effort.
    "So Hazel any plans for after supper?"  Asked Taehyung turning towards Hazel.
   "Um, I got invited to go over to the Slytherin common room since they won and are celebrating."  Replied Hazel quickly shooting a glance as Jimin who's jaw clenched for a moment.
    "I still don't understand how your so buddy buddy with the pure blood suckers."  Spat Jimin causing Hazel to sigh.
   "They aren't that bad once you get to know them, also they probably are more tolerant of me because of my house and my family name."  Reminded Hazel, which was something she had to say constantly to Jimin who just scoffed or rolled his eyes on reply.
    "Do you think I could come with?"  Asked Ember, shocking the whole table.
   "Wait, you want to go hang out with a bunch of Slytherins too?  What kind of Gryffindor are you!?" Hissed Jimin.
    "The kind that is more open minded than others."  Replied Ember.
   "I don't know Ember, I'm not sure if the invite is extended to others.  I can ask Jungkook if you'd like...but I suspect he will say no."  Admitted Hazel.
   "Oh, no, it's okay then.  You're probably right.   Let me know how it goes.  And don't stay out too late we do have classes tomorrow."  Reminded Ember.
   "I don't think I'm the one who you should be worried about for that."  Grinned Hazel as she got up to leave the table. 
    "I'll see you guys in the morning."  Said Hazel before she walked over towards the Slytherin table. 
   "Ready to go?"  Grinned Jungkook as she approached him.  She smiled.
   "Of course!"  She replies happily.  She did feel a little guilty about Ember wanting to tag along, but she still didn't feel like it was right for her to bring her with when she herself had been invited as a guest.  She walked with Jungkook down to the Slytherin common room.  Which was the liveliest she had ever see it as she walked in.  There were a lot of older students drinking and having fun.  Some were playing different games and Hazel noticed a few couples spread throughout the room some kissing, some talking, others playing games.

    "Hello little bird."  Greeted Yoongi as he wandered over toward Hazel.  He was flanked by Hoseok, Namjoon, and Seokjin.
    "Hi Yoongi, nice game today.  You too Hoseok."  Complimented Hazel with a smile which was returned by Hoseok, but Yoongi just smirked slightly.  Yoongi was the Slytherin keeper and Hoseok was one of the Beaters.
    "Yeah it was, I can't believe you almost knocked Park Jimin clean off is broom!"  Exclaimed Jungkook.  Hoseok laughed. 
    "It was too bad.  He was scoring so much I couldn't just let him have all the attention."  He grinned.
    "Did Kookie here invite you to the party?"  Asked Yoongi.
    "Of course, but if I really wanted to I know the password so I could get in anytime."  Shrugged Hazel with a grin. 
    "Remind me to have them change that now."  Joked Yoongi.  Causing Hazel to pout.
"Awe, don't be like that.  I don't abuse my power.  I only use it to get this idiot when he's being poky or forgetful."  She replied pointing at Jungkook. 
   "Hey!"  He defender.
"Don't you know how to get into all of the common rooms now?"  Asked Namjoon. 
   "Perhaps, I know that you do to, don't even think about denying it."  Teased Hazel.
   "Oh, I take pride in knowing how to get into them all.  It's even more fun when you walk into Hufflepuff's common room and scare them since most outsider get vinegar dumped on their heads for trying to enter."  Grinned Namjoon.
  "It's because I asked the door to let you in without stinking you with vinegar."  Reminded Seokjin.
   "Yeah, luckily Kim Taehyung did that for me right away.  I got to witness it happen to someone else."  Giggled Hazel. 
   "Which reminds me.  Did you finish the homework yet for Herbology?"  Asked Jungkook.
   "Yes, do you need help again?"  Replied Hazel.
   "Thank Merlin, yes please help me."  He practically begged. 
   "Fine, fine.  Let's go work on it."' Sighed Hazel as Jungkook grabbed her wrist to practically drag her up to his dorm.  So much for partying.
