Second chance

chapter 15: day 4

(Lucy P.O.V)

I woke up and looked around. Why am I on the couch... Yesterdays memories flooded my brain and I groaned. Sting fought me using his Dragon enhanced strength...

I walk to my room, my eyes lingering on a pink-haired dragon slayer who was sleeping on the chair next to mine. He must have carried me here I thought with a fond smile.

I get dressed in one of the multiple outfits that both Juvia and I had.

As soon as I walked out of the room I notice that Juvia and I were matching...again. This is happening a lot now.

We smile and Juvia walks towards the room of the others to wake them up. I hesitate and I look at Natsu who was sleeping. For a second an image of his battered body from the war flashed through my head. My breath stilled as I felt the air leave my lunges. What happened to my Natsu I don't know.

I shake my head from these thoughts and continue to walk to the kitchen to start setting the table. Juvia cooks, I will never touch the kitchen again unless it is an emergency. I mean I could cook but Juvia and Sting are godly in the kitchen. 

I was getting the last plate when a hand was placed on my shoulder. I stiffened and was about to jump back when I saw that it was Juvia. She looked at me with calm eyes filled with understanding. I relaxed and laughed.

" Thanks for the heart attack Juvia," I said and she rolled her eyes.

We left the inn with Natsu and Gray fighting over who is the better mage. I roll my eyes fondly and laugh. Even during wartime, those two were at each others side. Never had I seen two people change attitudes so quickly with those too.

As we walk past the entrance Sabertooth is passing by. For a second my eyes meet Stings and my eyes widen along with his. His eyes were tired and bruised, he was a bit pale but it was barely noticeable. He was completely on guard and overall he looked like how I was feeling.

" Today is the third day of the Gand. Magic. Games" Mato screamed and I growled.

" No today is the day you stick your head-" I begin to say and am stopped by a slap on the head by Juvia.

" You cannot tell me that you don't want to say the same," I say and Juvia stumbles.

" You can't say that" She scolds and I pout.

I see Erza sweatdrop and I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders.

" Please send contestants for the Naval battle" Mato said and I immediately look at Juvia and shake my head.

" I'll go you look like death loomed over you," I say and before she can say anything I am next to Minerva in the line.

I am joined by a way to happy Mira and Sheera already in their bikinis.

" Star dress of the Gods Aquamarine" I yell and am covered by a yellow light.
