*Juliet's pov*
Beep beep beep
Shut up please.
Beep beep beep
I'm going to kill myself if that doesn't stop.
Beep beep beep
I opened my eyes slightly and squint at the bright phone screen. I turn off my alarm and crawl- yes, crawl- out of bed.
I walked straight to the bathroom and wash my face. I put on my makeup and straighten my hair. I put on a light washed jean jacket with a black tank top underneath with black jeans and black Doc Martins.
I walk back to Hayes's room and I grab my backpack and purse. Hayes wasn't in bed so he must've been downstairs already.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed some cereal and milk. A few minutes after I was eating Hayes comes down and kisses me on the cheek.
"Good morning babe." Hayes grinned as he went to the fridge to look inside.
"I don't want to go to school." I whined.
"Neither do I," he laughed, "at least we have the same classes together."
"Every class except I have photography and you have wood shop." I said.
"Why don't you just switch to wood shop?"
"Because that's boring and it actually involves physical work." I sighed, and Hayes laughed.
"Come on, we have to catch the bus." He said as I put my bowl of cereal in the sink and grabbed my back pack. We walked out the door and Hayes grabbed my hand.
"I hope you like it at Davidson Day." He admitted.
"I don't think I'm going to make any new friends. I'm not good at that." I said.
"You have me, Madi, and the guys you met last night. Just trust me, if anyone bothers you just tell me." He said.
"Just like when we first dated and everyone thought I was insane." I laughed at the thought.
"Yeah, I think you were a little insane." Hayes joked and I shoved him.
"Hey, that's not nice." He acted hurt. We stopped when we got to the bus stop and there were already people there.
"I haven't taken the bus a lot. It was usually the subway." I said.
"It's not that different from a subway. The bus is cleaner though." Hayes joked, and I laughed.
"Sit with me?" I asked, and he nodded.
"Of course." He kissed my hand and the bus pulled up.
"Are you ready?" He whispered in my ear.
"Not at all."
We walked into the bus and Hayes picked a seat in the back. We sat in a three seater so we could have more room. I put my earbuds in and distracted myself by staring outside the window.
I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned around.
"Hey, could I listen with you?" Hayes asked.
I took the earbud out of my right ear, he grabbed it and put it on. I was listening to Drake, and Hayes seemed to like it.
More people came into the bus and sat down. We were one of the last stops, I was told, so we should be headed to the school.
"Hey Grier! Is that you're new girl toy?" I heard someone yell. I tried to ignore it.
"Shut up, Nelson!" Hayes yelled back.
"Why? She's smoking hot too." He yelled.
Hayes seemed pissed off. I turned off the music and I kissed his cheek.
"He doesn't bother me. I just wish it didn't bother you." I smiled a little.
"I'm glad it doesn't bother you." He returned the smile.
We pulled up to the school and we were dropped off immediately. We headed straight to our homerooms to get our lockers assigned.
That stupid kid, Hayes called him Nelson, was in my homeroom.
"Alright, I'm going to take attendance." My homeroom teacher, Mr. Hill, said. He said a bunch of names before he got to me.
"Juliet Collins?"
"Here."
I figured out the guy's name that kept bothering Hayes. His name was Liam Nelson.
"Okay class. Let me give you your lock and locker numbers and you should go when you get it to put your stuff in it. After, go to your first period class."
He handed me my lock and locker number and I got up to go there. I opened my locker, set my lock down, and started to put books inside.
"Hey, you're Hayes's girlfriend." Liam said, as he opened the locker next to me.
Great, he's my locker neighbor too?
"Yeah." I sighed, as I continued to put books in my locker.
"You're so...I don't know....different."
"And you're so fucking annoying." I said as I slammed my locker and grabbed my books to my first period class.
"Feisty! I like it!" He yelled down the hallway. I rolled my eyes as I continued to walk to my math class for first period.
I sat down, I was the first one there, and I was soon joined by Madi.
"Hey!" She cheered as she sat down next to me.
"Hey. I'm so glad you're in my math class." I smiled.
"Same! So I heard something happened between you and Liam?"
"Yeah, and he bothers me so much. I wish he could just-"
"Die in a hole?"
"Exactly." I laughed.
"I totally know how you feel. He hits on every single girl in this school, be careful though." She says.
"Why?"
"Because when he doesn't get what he wants he goes violent." She said.
"How violent?"
"Like killing-your-current-boyfriend violent." She said.
"That's...intense..."
"Yeah, I had to go on a date with him. I made him break up with me instead of the other way around so he doesn't do anything stupid."
"What did you have to do?"
"I ate spaghetti with my hands, had bed head, and I wore sweatpants to a fancy restaurant. It was awful." She laughed.
"Everyone couldn't stop calling me spaghetti hands for the next month." She continues, and I laugh.
I realized that all the seats were filled and the teacher was giving us a weird look but continued to talk.
"Bad at making new friends, huh?" Hayes whispered next to me.
