[Let's Rev It Up! 7] Betta Merfolk AU

This AU was originally started by -_YukiSnowfall_- so I would like to thank her for letting me include this in my book. Basically in this AU, Jaden and Yusei are Betta Merman, so there fins are Bigger and more colorful than normal Merfolk, like in the photos I made below. With real bettas, female bettas have smaller fins while males have larger fins. In the scenario -_YukiSnowfall_- created in her book, Yusei is a rare type of betta merman who can lay eggs like a female one, because he was bred in captivity, he belongs to a person who sold him to another. This other person owned Jaden, and decided to pair them together to create more baby merfolk, but after they had bred and Yusei laid the eggs, they took the eggs away, all except for one which Jaden hid.

Yusei's Tail

Yusei's Short Backstory:
Yusei was bred in captivity, and with his small fins, at first the person who owned him thought he was female, but they checked him and realized he was male. Growing more curious, the person who owned him sent to have him X-Rayed and found out he was male but was able to carry eggs, this made him worth a lot of money on the market, and was later sold to Jaden's owner for breeding purposes.

Jaden's Tail

Jaden's Backstory: Jaden was born in the wild, but easily found and caught at a young age due to the bright colors of his tail. When he was sold he was sold for quite a lot because of the size of his tail and his vibrant colors. He has been paired with many females, and has had loads of offspring in his short life. He hated seeing them taken away, but he knew what would happen if he refused to mate, but when Yusei came along, it would change his whole world...

(As you can see, I made Jaden's bigger because where Yusei can lay eggs, in a way he is kind of a female. XD)

Alright, here's my scenario:

Jaden was placed in a tank that was right next to another, in a way that he could see into the other tank. He knew exactly what they were gonna have him do, the same thing they had him do since he was old enough after being caught, because of his colors and the size of his fins, as well as the offspring that were already produced, he was a favorite to be paired with another merfolk to create more offspring. He didn't want to keep doing this, he was tired of being bred, just to see his children he taken away. As he waited for the other merfolk to arrive that he would be paired with, he saw a slight hint of yellow in the deep blue. When it soon got close enough, it could be seen it was another merman, clearly confused and trying to figure out his new surroundings. Jaden felt something towards this merman he hadn't felt with any other he had bred with, a feeling that made his heart beat quickly. He placed his hands on the glass wall between them as he watched this merman, wondering what they were like...
