Miley didn't really speak much to anyone after JJ had been taken to Italy. It was complete and utter silence with her now. She ate, and went about her life as she normally would. But she just didn't talk.

She didn't even jump up and down when Emily had told everyone she was five months pregnant. She didn't say congrats or even look at Emily. She shot a sad look at Sam before she'd left the room.

"I miss JJ," I heard Seth whine to Leah.

"We all do, stupid. Now shut up." Leah growled.

Leah hadn't changed much. She always tried cheering Miley up. But in the month that Jare had been gone, no one could get Miley to smile or talk. Everything Sam said to her seemed to go in one ear and out the other.

I shook my head and sighed. I thought for sure that Paul was JJ's father, that we'd always have that adorable little face around.

Her being gone certainly didn't help Embry. He was taking it all the wrong way. He started sleeping around town and getting drunk every other night. He would always stagger and laugh at nothing during his patrol time.

Sam had taken him aside for a long, serious talk, but he was being like Miley. He wasn't listening and hardly spoke. When he did, he was hitting on a girl. I wanted to scream at him, to tell him that just because his imprint was in another country didn't mean he could whore around.

But I couldn't do that. It would push him over the edge if any of us blew up at him in his fragile state. Even Paul realized that and backed off.

No one was the same without JJ. We needed her back, but she was better off in Italy.

That was the painful truth.

Yeah, yeah, be Riley Biers later and tell me I'm dead for destroying Embry, Jared, Seth and Miley, and possibly Paul. I'm still debating it.
Anyway, I'm sorry for this chapter being so short and crummy. I'm having writer's block, so comment ideas please! Love ya, Shanks!
