I'm sorry for the way the last chapter ended . I'm sorry for turning Sam, Brady and Miley into walking, talking wrecks. I'm sorry about Embry. I'm ready to crawl into a hole and die. Rest in peace, Embry.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two weeks. Two weeks and Embry's scent was strong in Emily's house still. His painful screams were pierced into my ears, scarring me for life.

No one smiled anymore. During our healing process, Carlisle said his sons would patrol the border. Kim and Nessie couldn't cheer Jacob or Jared up. Sam always had tears in his eyes, as did Brady, Colin and Miley. I hadn't seen a smile in three weeks.

Embry's death impacted me as hard as Dad's had. I refrained from snapping at anyone this time. We were all in fragile states. Claire didn't understand, not really. She just knew "Emby" wasn't coming home.

I jumped slightly as Sam punched the wall. "It's my fault."

He pressed play on the memorial video Miley had made for Embry.

EMBRY COLTON NEIL CALL flashed across the screen. March 17, 1994 - January 2, 2013.

It started off with Emb laughing at Jacob, who had his head stuck in Sam's pumpkin. It faded into darkness and Embry reappeared wearing Emily's bra on his head, all of the guys were laughing at his weak attempt to bug Sam.

Five pictures of him and Miley went by before Embry reappeared, all of the boys from the year before were there.

"I wish Bella would call."
"I wish Bella wouldn't call."
"Maybe I should call Bella."
"Maybe I should call Bella and hang up.'
He faded into darkness again. "This isn't your home anymore." I heard him say before he reappeared, splashing Miley with the hose. "You don't belong here."

The darkness came and went, revealing Embry and JJ, both smiling. It didn't fade until a video clip started fading.

"Jare," Embry cooed. "I got your nose!"
The baby laughed.

"Where's your nose?" Embry asked. He looked up and smiled at the camera. It froze and zoomed in on his face and the next image came on, this one of me and him kneeling beside a deer.

"Leah, come on, it's just a picture," his voice laughed. "You don't even have to be looking at the camera."
I had sighed and smiled at the camera.

It faded to darkness and him sitting at the kitchen table in Emily's kitchen with the boys came on. They were laughing and smiling, like they didn't have a care in the world.

It faded and Miley and Embry came on screen. "We're family, Embry. We take care of each other no matter what. I'll never leave you behind."

"You're like a sister to me, Miles. I can't lose you." Embry replied.

It faded to darkness and Embry, Sam, Paul, Emily, Jared, and Miley were running around. The happiest I'd ever seen them.

I'd recorded that moment.

Then Embry's face reppeared. He was smiling and the camera was handed to him. He'd jumped off the cliff and at the impact of the water, his face repearred again.

He was smiling in the photograph, holding JJ in his arms. Embry Colton, you're gone but never forgotten. Rest in sweet peace, my friend.

I hadn't realized I was crying until Seth started rubbing my back. I leaned into him and sobbed. "I miss him so much, Seth. I miss just seeing his face every day."

"I know, LeLe. I miss him too." Seth's voice cracked and a tear rolled down his cheek.

My heart broke a little more.

I needed Embry back. Hell, we all needed him.

I don't even think we'll ever come back from this. He was a big part of our life. He always reassured us we'd go home at the end of the day. He kept us happy.

Now he was gone.
