Chapter 29

Patton:
I find myself curling into Logan again. It's nothing new, Logan says he doesn't mind when I seek him out for cuddles. So I usually end up curled up by his side. Sometimes he even strokes my hair!

This is one of my favorite times, because Logan has his arm wrapped around me. I crave the feeling of being held a lot, but it's always better to be held by Logan.

     I reach out for the snacks, but they're too far away. I don't wanna move out from Logan's arm because he might not put it back.

     Roman smirks at me and pushes the gummy worms in my direction. I shoot him a stern look as I put a handful into my mouth.

     Logan reaches is other arm over and grabs a few, he smiles when he catches my eye. I giggle and we go back to watching. I feel myself almost explode a few minutes later when he ever so slowly pulls me closer.

Roman:

     I have to resist the urge to put my arm around Virgil, especially when I see Logan and Patton cuddling. They look cute together, and I can tell Patton is absolutely loving it. He's always looking for cuddles though.

     Virgil starts shifting more than I think he normally would. As he continues to move I grow more and more concerned.

     "You okay?" I whisper.

     He nods and laughs lightly, "I have to use your bathroom, but I don't wanna miss this part."

     I laugh, "We can pause it for you."

     He shakes his head, "No, the scene will lose it's momentum."

     I laugh loudly at that, "Okay, but don't hurt yourself."

     He punches my arm but he's laughing. "Shut it, Princey."

     *****

     "We're out of gummies!" Patton huffs after the movie.

     "Shhh, I'll go get more." Logan mumbles. Patton makes a sad face when he's let go.

     "Patton," I snort, "He'll be back."

     Patton frowns, "He might not hold me again tonight, though..."

     I laugh at his pouty expression, "Maybe if you told him you wanted him to, he would."

     Patton frowns again, "I can't do that, what if he gets mad at me?"

     Virgil laughs, "Trust me, Pat, he's not gonna be mad."

     I nod, "The emo's right," Virgil hisses at me, "Logan's always looking for an excuse to be close to you."

     Patton sighs, "Maybe..."

     I look at Virgil and we both roll our eyes and giggle.

     "Oh, please. It's not like you two are any better!" Patton cries indignantly.

     I turn away from Virgil to glare at Patton. "Shut up," I mouth at him.

     "What have I missed?" Logan asks as he enters the fort, carrying the gummies he promised Patton.

     "NOthing!" They all cry at once.

     Logan shoots them all suspicious looks, but doesn't say anything. He sits down next to Patton and passes him some gummy bears.

     "Than ooh," Patton says, his mouth full of gummies.

     Logan rolls his eyes, "Your unfortunate teeth."

     Patton giggles and attempts to subtly burrow beneath Logan's arm.

     Logan stares at him in confusion, then realization crosses his face and he smiles as he wraps an arm around Patton, returning them to their earlier position.

     Patton sighs contentedly.

     I look to Virgil and see that he's also witnessed the display. We exchange smiles as we turn back to our next movie, Lady & the Tramp.

Virgil:

     It's almost midnight when everyone starts drifting off. Roman asked me earlier if it would bother me to sleep in the blanket fort. I shook my head and he relaxed.

     "Please, wake me up if you need anything? Please?"

     I stare at him in shock, then I nod, even though I know I couldn't possibly follow through. I didn't expect to hear that from him. That genuine concern. It was...comforting. I sigh as I pull my phone out, this is really nice. But there's no way I'm gonna be able to sleep in this house. Especially with other people so close. What if I sleep talk? I've never done it before, at least I don't think so. But what if I did? That would be mortifying. What if they prank me? No, it's safer to just stay up.

I know that sounds like horrible logic, but it's so much easier than trying to sleep.
