After the whole fiasco of emotions, i went out to take a breather. So much happening in two days. My feeble mind couldn't take it. My feet glided through the green grass, as my observed the empty town. A commotion arose nearby. I looked to see a youngling afloat on a spear, talking to a recognisable man, clad in red. And a pair if children watching the two far away. No way...thats King. I approached the two, they did not seem very friendly with each other.
"Harlequin!!" I called out.
He looked down at me and smiled, and focused his attention back to Ban. Ban looked at me in confusion, but dismissed it.
"For the last time kid...Who are you?"
"Bad Ban!" Meliodas scolded, smacking his dear friend's head with a mug.
Meliodas and Ban started bickering on whether a not the shortie afloat was King. I flew up to him. He widened his eyes, my act unexpected.
"Copied my flying now eh?"
"I learn from the best," I smirked.
"King!!" Diane cooed.
His eyes widened at his crush calling him by his name. Love visible in his eyes. It was cute to see him so in love. Is this how Ban feels about me? He looked at me, begging for help.
"You can go away and look cool, but you'll probably look uninter-" I stopped mid sentence, for he floated away, with his chastiefol in hand. He never listens, just like Diane.
"I guess he's gone." Meliodas said.
Ban approached a pair of kids, probably 8 or 9 years old. And chatted with them for a bit. He told Meliodas something, and Meliodas nodded. We proceeded back to the Boar hat for a quick rest, the two kids trailing behind. They seemed timid, maybe even fearful. I approched them nicely.
"Hi! I'm Elvira. What are your names?"
"I'm Ellen, and this is my brother, Luigi." the little girl introduced. I proceeded to walk along with them.
"Why do you guys look so fearful? We will not hurt you. Even if the others do, i won't hesistate to defend you."
"The man. H-He...I p-pierced him and he's alive!" The boy cried in shock.
"Him? Ah..He's a special one. He's immortal! Means no matter what pain you inflict on him, he'll heal just in time! And guess what, he cooks really well too. He's really awesome." I grinned.
The kids gasp at the fact, in shock of the fact i had stated. The Boar Hat soon came to view. We entered the tavern and Ban proceeded to the kitchen, preparing something to eat for them. Everyone else lazed around for a bit. I approached Ban, who was cooking some meat on the stove. Dang it smelled good.
"You looked cool out there~" I cooed, touching his shoulder.
"Of course, had a beautiful girl watching me."
My cheeks flushed red. This man might be my weakness. Anything flirty he says or does makes me melt inside. The smell of savoury enlightened my nostrils distracting me from my thoughts. Saliva leaked out of my mouth for abit.
"I can't tell if you're drooling because of me or the food." Ban flirted.
"The food, mister. But i wouldn't mind drooling for you too."
"Well you're in luck, I made an extra plate for you." He said, revealing the other plate he was hiding.
I grinned, overjoyed at the small gesture he made of making extra food for me. Ban smiled at my reaction.
"Well can i get an extra you as well?"
"Sorry, I'm one of a kind." He smugly said.
I rolled my eyes as I grabbed both the plates full of goodness and utensils. I took a seat with the kids and started chowing down my food. The kids stared at the plate set in front of them in amazement.
"If you're not gonna eat it, i'll give it to the pig." He said, impatiently.
The kids rushed to gobble down the food. Their eyes widened, 'mmm's could be heard. It was no surprise his cooking was good, like really good.
"Now, as something in return, I want you to tell me how do i get to the Capital of the Dead."
"Capital of the Dead? The floating guy asked us about it too. I don't know much about it..." Luigi answered.
"...A priceless memory shared with the deceased will open the path to the Capital. Thats what the uncle next door always told us. But we don't know if its true though." Ellen butted in.
"Ah...Thank you, Elaine." Ban greeted, ruffling her hair.
Elaine? Her name is Ellen! I looked at Ban in confusion, food still stuffed in my mouth. He musn't have said Elaine on accident...Am i overthinking this?
"M-my name is Ellen.."
"Oh, sorry Ellen." Ban apologised.
The kids finished up their food and thanked Ban for the meal. The rushed out of the tavern. I finished my meal as well, and grabbed the plates to wash them.
"Lady Elvira, I can do the dishes." Elizabeth offered.
"Just call me Vira. And it's okay, it's just 2 plates." I rejected her offer.
"It's fine! I'd like to help in any way i can, no matter large or small." She replied with a smile on her face.
This lady really grew up to be a phenomenal one. A princess yet still willing to help in any amount possible. She really does care about this mission and Liones.
"If you insist..." I said, passing over the plate with food residue to her. She grabbed it and started cleaning.
I walked out of the kitchen and saw Ban leaning against the wall. He seemed like he was waiting for someone...
"Waiting for someone?"
"You, duh. Come on let's go." He grabbed my arm and pulled me along with him.
I looked back at Elizabeth to say thank you, but she just winked at me. What the hell? Did she offer help so that Ban could take me out? Oh my god...
"Did you ask the princess to do the dishes so you could take me out?" I asked. He grinned mischievously. I oughta slap that grin off his face.
"You're dumb." I insulted, as we walked together, his hand still on my wrist.
"Where are we going? Is this our first date or something? I'd expect something different but I'm fine with this."
"Capital of the dead. If you want to call this a date, sure. But i wouldn't, since Cap'n is coming later on."
We ended up on some empty land of sorts. It's a dead end...? This was not the date i imagined. Suddenly, the green grass beneath us transformed to flowers, and soon into green crystals. I turned around and saw Meliodas and the others trailing behind. King was here too. Since when were they there?
A silhouette of a small girl was seen on the other side of this realm. Ban let go of my hand and chased after the silhouette. So much for being in love with me. King chased after her as well. I looked at Meliodas for clarification. He shrugged.
"What up with these two?" Diane asked.
"Beats me. C'mon, lets go find thsoe two idiots." I instructed.
