With a start, Michael woke up.
He was in his bed covered with sweat.
Panting, he tumbled out of bed and ran to his phone.
How could he have slept?! He needed to save Y/N.
A text popped up on his phone.
An unknown number.
"Turn on the news"
His hands shaking, he grabbed the tv remote and turned on his television near his bed.
"We are witnessing the coroners bringing out the two bodies belonging to Y/N L/N and a Kira Grimes. A witness reported seeing both of their bodies at the end of the stone steps over here.."
The news reporters voice trailed off.
Michael had failed.
He sunk to his knees.
If only.. if only he had made it on time.
"I should've helped them. I should've done something.. I'm so sorry".
And he kept muttering this over and over again....
A tall man in a white laboratory coat stared at his patient. He was crumbled on the floor, rocking back and forth.
"Hey Bill. What's happening?" Came another Doctor walking to him.
"Oh it's Michael. He's regressing. I thought we were doing so well. But he keeps talking about Y/N again. Needing to save her and all that".
The other young Doctor stared at him in confusion .
"Y/N? You mean the character he created?"
Bill nodded in sadness as he looked at the whimpering boy.
Poor Michael, ever since his boyfriend had committed suicide, he just hit rock bottom.
Michael had institutionalized himself in an effort to get better.
That was when he had started writing. Creating the character known as Y/N.
But it seemed to no longer be helping.
He seemed stuck in his fantasies.
Bill felt the sadness pour over him.
"We should go. We have the patient in room 102".
And with a last glance the two doctors walked away.
Leaving Michael in his own personal hell.
