Gisella was in my arms as soon as we heard the front door close. I kissed her softly at first and then more intensely when she sighed and grabbed my face.
"You should not kiss me like that, mon amour."
"Why not?" I took a deep breath. When I opened my eyes, Gisella was staring at me and biting her lip. My insides felt as weak as my knees even though I was sitting down. I couldn't stand up even if I wanted to.
"Because I like it way too much." She paused. "Stacy?" I loved hearing her say my name more than anything else. She gave me butterflies so easily.
"Yes?"
"I want you to give me a tattoo."
"Right now?" I asked with a surprised smile. Gisella nodded eagerly.
"Oui. I really want one. Now."
"Okay." I stood up, smiling because of the way Gisella's eyes lit up.
As I got the machine and set everything up on the floor, in front of my bed, Gisella did a small dance that made me grin. She watched me head to the bathroom to wash my hands and when I returned, she had her sleeve rolled up and she was sitting on the floor with her legs crossed.
"I'm ready." She said, cheesing from ear to ear. I sat down in front of her and took a deep breath. I was beyond nervous to use the tattoo machine for the first time.
"What do you want me to draw?" I asked anxiously. My heart was beating so loud, I could barely hear her.
"What should I get?"
"What do you want?"
"Something that reminds me of you, Stacy." Gisella's smile was flawless. She looked from my lips back up to my eyes and then rubbed the back of her neck.
"Pick a word." I said, licking my lips and blushing at the same time. She rubbed her chin in thought before finally answering with a smile.
"Blessed." Gisella could make me blush with one word, without trying. It blew my mind.
It took me a little less than twenty minutes to draw the word out on her skin in the font she drooled over. By the time I had the needle in my shaky hands, my nerves were making it hard to breathe. I wanted the small tattoo to be perfect.
"Just breathe baby." She coaxed.
I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and then put my focus on Gisella's right forearm. The machine started buzzing louder than my heart but when she reached for my cheek and rubbed softly, I calmed down.
"You're perfect, mon amour. You will do fine. Relax."
It took thirty minutes for my hand to be steady enough for my confidence to grow and another half an hour for me to finish the piece. I was scared to look at the 7 letters I just tattooed on Gisella's skin.
"I love it, mon amour!" She gushed as she jumped up and ran to the full body mirror behind my door. I watched her look at her reflection with a satisfied smile.
"Seriously?"
"Oui, Stacy. It's perfect." Gisella said before she pulled me into her arms. She kissed my lips softly and then pulled away and blushed.
"You're perfect."
When Gisella was finished making me blush, I cleaned up the tattoo machine, paper towels and ink while she put Saran Wrap over her forearm. After everything was cleaned up, Gisella insisted on going downstairs so I could eat. Even if she didn't pout in the cutest way when I told her no the first time, I would have gone downstairs to eat anyways.
Daddy came home without Estelle after midnight. Since it is was a school night, we had to pretend we were fast asleep with our backs towards one another when he poked his head in the dark room. I let out a breath after we heard daddy's bedroom door close. My heart was crashing for more than one reason and it was all Gisella's fault.
"How can I sleep if you keep kissing me like...that?!" I whisper yelled as I sat up so I could see her in the dark. The moon was shining on her soft facial expression as she laid peacefully on the pillow. When she smirked, my stomach fluttered.
"Stacy?" Gisella opened her eyes and stared at me. My hands found their way in my lap as I fidgeted nervously.
"Gisella?"
"Je t'aime vraiment." She sat up and smiled bashfully and I swear it felt like I turned into a puddle of mush right in front of her. My body tingled all over.
"What did you say?" I asked. Gisella had the prettiest gold glimmer in captivating blue/green eyes that always made me feel like I was in love. Even with no lights on, the twinkle in her eyes could be seen a mile away. She didn't get to answer me before we heard daddy's door open and then Estelle's whisper echoed in the hallway. I didn't want to think about what my dad and Gisella's mom were about to do because it made my stomach turn. I wasn't in a good mood anymore.
I laid back on the pillows and pulled the blankets over my head. My face felt hot but I didn't care. After a few seconds of silence, I felt Gisella's cool fingers graze my arm as she pulled me from under the sheets. When we were face to face, her eyes flickered from my lips to my eyes a couple of times and every time they did, my heart skipped a beat. In that moment, it was just me and Gisella. Nothing else mattered. She looked at me like I was a diamond and I loved the way it made me feel.
I closed my eyes as she leaned in and connected our lips. Gisella let her hands dance in my hair for half a second before her tongue slid across my bottom lip. When she did that, surprisingly, I let out a small gasp. My head was throbbing when we pulled away from each other, desperate for air. Gisella touched her swollen lips and blushed like it was our first time making out. I don't know what I expected her to say but I didn't expect it to make me feel the way it did.
"I said, I really like you, mon amour." She kissed the tip of my nose and then pecked my lips. "Get some sleep, my love."
"But..." I yawned against my will. "I like you too, Gisella. A lot." I closed my eyes and felt Gisella kiss my cheek softly.
"I know Bonita. Sweet dreams, mon amour."
