there was always familiarity with you. i felt safe, like i didn't need to hide anything from you, and i learned to carry that familiarity with me; i learned to stay true to myself even when things felt scary. you felt like home, and i never wanted to leave. because i learned how much i loved you while i was at it. i love you.
