----*July*----
"C'mon! Hurry Macey!"
"I'm coming! Wait for me-!"
We ran to the closest hiding spot we could find around her house. We were playing hide-n-seek.
"READY OR NOT! HERE WE COME!" Was heard echoing throughout the house.
They were out on the loose looking for us. My best friend and I were hiding in the closet on the first floor of the home. Our two other friends were looking for us. We heard footsteps approaching from the right.
"Pfffttt--," My best friend could be heard holding his laughter.
"Shut up! Or we'll be caught for sure dummy!" I whisper shouted.
The footsteps stoped in front of the closet that we were hiding in and it seemed like time had stopped.
"BAHAHAHAHAH!!!" He bursted out laughing.
"Serenity! Come here, I found them!" I heard him holler out for Serenity.
"COMING!" Serenity yelled from the kitchen.
We heard rapid footsteps heading for us.
"Do you see what you just did?!" I practically yelled at him.
"BAHAHAH- I-I'm sorry Macey I just- HAHAHAH!!" The closet door was then burst open.
"We found you guys!" Serenity smiled.
"Yes you did!" I smiled back.
Serenity bent over and held her hand out to me, as we were sitting on the floor. I took it.
"I should not have hid with this dummy behind me." I said pointing back.
"HEY!" he shouted.
"What? I'm only saying the truth!" I turned back, smiling playfully at him.
Serenity was snickering behind me. She was standing next to Matthew.
The day passed by and we kept playing games, I still remember the summer breeze that blew through my hair that day. But that all changed in the same year.
----*July 31*----
We all decided to meet up at our favorite park. Lunar Lake. The first ones to arrive were Serenity and I. The next to arrive was Matthew, he came with his younger sister. The only one we were waiting for was my best friend to come...
The day passed with us playing, tag and many other games, waiting for him. Time went by fast, before we knew it, it went from being early noon to early evening. Serenity and I walked home together, Matthew and his sister went back home.
He never came. And as far as I know, we never saw him again...
