"Sunday morning... One of the best and lousiest feelings in the world." I mumbled to myself.

I looked over at my phone and checked the time.

"7:30 am. It's early, just five more minut-"

"MACEY! C'MON YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!!!"
Someone burst into my room.

"H-huh? Who the hell? What?" I sat on my bed rubbing my head.

"C'monnn! You really need to see this! Hurry!" I opened my rates a bit more.

"Ugh, Serenity... let me sleep for five more minutes..." I laid back down.

"Ohoho, not on my watch! Come on!" Serenity pulled my arm.

"Please. I wanna sleep..." I tightened my grip on my bed.

"Macey Parker. You will get your ass out of bed right now and come with me. Or else." Serenity
threatened.

"Fiinnee. What do you want? And why are you waking me up this early..." I got up from my bed.

"It's something important, I promise. And this isn't a pleasant surprise." She pulled my arm.

"I could go for a pleasant surprise..." I said half awake.

"I said, it's not a pleasant surprise."

"Aw, boo." Serenity giggled.

We walked down my stairs and to the front door.

"Hey, hold on a minute. I'm still in my pjs, I can't go outside yet..." I mumbled.

"Whatever, you're wearing your flannel shorts and your black top." Serenity opened the door.

"Look!" I rubbed my eyes.

"What? I don't see any..." I trailed off.

At the foot of my doorstep there were a dozen roses and a note. All across the lawn were rose petals.

"Please give me a second chance..." I read the note.

"What the fuck is this bullshit?!" I pointed at the surprise.

"Roses on the foot of my doorstep..." I walked over to the lawn.

"And this stupid ass, 'request' ?! Then a heart made out of rose petals?!" I picked up a petal.

"Hey Macey!" I looked behind me.

"Why you fucking-"

"So... Did you like my surprise?" He smiled.

I stomped up to my doorstep picked up the dozen roses and walked over to him.
