Everyone was having a good time conversing with each other when Dad said.."we should start the engagement ceremony now..it's already 8 pm"..to which everyone agreed..
Mom brought my engagement ring that I had chosen for Aditya and handed it to me...and with shaking hands I put the engagement ring on his ring finger..blocking my thoughts about my previous engagement to Paras..
"Bhabhi you don't need to be scared of him..he won't trouble you..he only troubles me.."Tanya said to which everyone started laughing..and i gave her a small smile...
I saw Aditya's face but wasn't able to read anything.. wasn't he happy that he was getting married?...his face was completely blank...not showing anything which confused me further... I hope our marriage is not taking place due to any pressure.....all my thoughts left my mind when it was his turn to put the engagement ring on my finger...
ADITYA'S POV:-
I couldn't help but notice how Aisha's hands were shaking when she was putting the engagement ring on my finger..was she so scared of me or was it because she was nervous..I thought to myself..
Tanya called me and handed over Aisha's engagement ring..which I put on her ring finger..I couldn't help but notice how soft her hands were..
I smiled at myself when I caught her stealing glances at me..maybe she was shy and nervous..but she had been married before..so why was she acting like this..?
Was she doing this drama to gain sympathy..I wondered....there was no need of her to be so flustered..my feelings towards her changed..why was she doing all this drama..I couldn't understand...Maybe she could be nervous about our marriage again...but my nature kept me rooted on the spot...
Mom fed me and then Aisha some sweets and also gave her new clothes and jewellery..I noticed that she was constantly staring at her ring and smirked in response..maybe her acting can fool everyone but not me..
AISHA'S POV:-
The ring that Aditya brought for me was so beautiful that I couldn't help but stare at it..but for the second time this engagement ring was not a sign of love for me..I got sad and wondered that will this marriage to Aditya give me the love and support that I am so desperately in need of..or will it again be a nightmare like my marriage to Paras..
I could feel that Aditya was different from Paras..he won't leave a hand on me...mom told me how good he was with his previous wife.....but seeing how he was acting now got me a little worried..
he was acting so cold and distant... towards me...he was not even looking at me..did I do something wrong?...I wondered..
Suddenly Rahul bhaiya asked us to look at him as he was clicking pictures..we clicked a few of them and then went on to have dinner..
Tanya was constantly with me..and I was now starting to feel comfortable with her..."you can call me Aisha...as I am younger than you and also I don't feel nice when you are calling me Bhabhi"..I told Tanya and she smiled...."okay Aisha but you also have to call me Tanya..I am only 3 years older than you.."....to which I smiled..we exchanged numbers and she asked me to stay in touch..
After dinner the Shukla's decided to head home and meet next week for the wedding..I touched the feet of mom and dad and hugged Tanya..I looked at Aditya and smiled gently at him...and he looked away....
"Aisha take care of yourself and I will take care of my brother..maybe he won't be able to sleep peacefully till he is married to you"..to which everyone started laughing..
"God..how do you even deal with her Rahul..she is so irritating.."Aditya said and glared at her to which Rohan bhaiya shrugged with a smile on his face.....they took their leaves..
At night after changing when I went to bed..I noticed that someone messaged me..I saw it was Tanya who sent me all the pictures from our engagement..I noticed how good looking Aditya was and how happy everyone was looking...along with me.....
My eyes then went towards my ring and i again wondered would I find happiness with him......
