"Spencer you can't just go in there," said Lorelai Da Luca.
Spencer Reid kept walking ignoring her protest, "Can't hear you, Rory."
"He's lecturing a class, Spencer," she followed, "What do you think he's gonna do? Just gonna stop his lecture?"
He turned around while still walking, "Precisely."
Spencer opened the door to the lecture hall and walked in along with Lorelai.
Jason Gideon along with the class looked at the two. He looked at Lorelai and she shrugged, then to Spencer as he tapped on the new case file.
Jason then looked back to the class, "Excuse me."
The three walked out into the hallway of the FBI Academy as Spencer started to read the case to Jason.
"They're calling him the Seatle Strangler. Four victims in four months," Spencer explained, "He keeps them alive seven days. The handle serves as a crank."
He shows them the picture of the body that was found.
Jason nodded, "Allowing him to control the rate of suffocation."
Spencer stopped in his tracks, "To prolong it?"
"To be able to enjoy it," answered Lorelai.
"Seattle's hit a wall?" asked Jason as they kept walking.
Spencer shakes his head, "Physical evidence is nonexistent, there are no tangible leads."
Jason stops to grab the picture, "And another girl is missing."
They walk into the office as Lorelai hands Jason his copy of the case. He walks to his desk as he goes through the file.
"I'll look the case file over. I'll get some thoughts to you two ASAP," he said starting to read.
Spencer and Lorelai nod, but before walking out Agent Aaron Hotchner walks in along with Agent Derek Morgan.
"You're gonna be with us in Seattle ASAP," Aaron said.
Derek walks closer to Aaron to hand Gideon a picture of another girl, "Twenty-two-year-old, Heather Woodland."
"Before she left for lunch, she downloaded an email with a time-delayed virus attached," continued Aaron, "The killer's virus had wiped her hard drive and left this on the screen."
Aaron handed a picture to Jason with an image of a computer and on it a note from the killer.
Jason starts to read it out loud, " 'for heaven's sake, catch me before I kill more. I cannot control myself.' "
"He never keeps them for more than seven days which means we have fewer than thirty-six hours to find her," said Aaron.
"They want you back in the saddle. You ready?" asked Derek.
Spencer then shrugged, "Looks like medical leave's over boss."
"They sure they want me?" asked Jason.
Aaron Hotchner nodded answering Jason Gideon's question, "The order came from the director."
Jason then turned around to face a framed picture on the wall that read the same message as the Seatle Strangler, "Then we'd better get started."
*******
They headed straight to the airport, getting out of the car while walking Lorelai put her FBI jacket on while holding her small suitcase in the other hand. Jason told her and Spencer to always wear it so that no one saw them as kids. The two graduated from the academy together when Lorelai was fifteen. Like Spencer, she's extremely smart and because of that, during high school, she was able to jump ahead in the classes she already knew so much about. As a freshman, she was able to jump ahead to calculus and went to her local community college to be able to take a science of her choice, psychology. That is how her interest in the function of the human mind took off, especially in the areas of murders and serial killers.
